Excellent write up, I agree with the Nyquist or Tartar for Sbisa would be interesting. And nothing substantial in regards to prospect for Kane. |

If Sbisa gets you Nyqvist or Tartar, go for it. Doesn't cost so much, and either should Kane. |

You have to think JB has been chatting with Murray. |

Kane? Anything more than a 2nd round pick for him would be a mistake.
6 years in the league and still off ice child. |

There would be many more better offers than that. |

A second round pick is the start but we would need to move salary also. Maybe Burrows CBJ s second and Canucks 4 th |

Not even sure if that Canucks have the pieces to get a top left winger without losing a key piece from another position. Probably better off signing a stop gap UFA. |

We could wait until Mathews is an UFA and move him to wing |

Probably your best option at this point. |

You are correct , because if you checked the list of available UFAs you would no there are no upgrades left for a top 6 stop gap. |

It's the only option that's realistic in my opinion, Kane is going to cost more than some think, and Landeskog is an utter pipe dream. |

Landeskog is a pipe dream . We don't even know he is available. Just fun to speculate.
Kane is available but I hope we look at other options first. |

Yeah, I just don't want to give up prospects at this point of the rebuild, we are just starting to get level again on the prospects front. Trading them away now would be just going backwards, but what do I know. |

I said it yesterday, I'd go for Kane if it only costs depth players. No picks or prospects. However, if Detroit comes calling first with an offer of either Nyquist or Tartar for Sbisa, you go for it. |

re Landy, i'm with ya. just fun to consider.
I also think Kane could be had for reason's we've all gone over a few times already.
I think he could be had for (relatively) cheap.
pick, player, prospect.
2nd, Sbisa, Gaunce.
That's CBJ 2nd rounder, a young 4-5 mobile Dman that hits and still has decent upside and a former 1st round pick that can slot in for cheap on the 4th line.
I'd do that deal, but that would be my max offer.

Trading top prospects for Kane is nuts . Prospects for Kane is not as bad if it is like Etem or Sven . With Kane I don't mind giving up a second round pick and a salary dump but I wouldn't go all in to get him.
The reason we talk about Landeskog is people like Kuzma and Carol bring up his name. Most know it is a very slim chance . |
