Can't go 0'fer again on the PP. This is going to be a low scoring series for as long as this goes. Washington won't be giving up anything easy. Hope they can get some dirty goals too.

Flyers will need to outwit the Caps' collapsing D 5 on 5, too. They surround Holtby like the Secret Service on a threatened President. Have to draw them out and sneak someone into the slot, a la Briere... |

Pp is really the issue here. Can't stay in this series with it Mia. Mase has played great, we just need to make things more difficult for holtby and understand they won't get any calls similar to game 1.
Got to find a way to get back to philly at 1 1 or this might be a 5 game series. |

If any chance is to be had guys like Read, Raffl, Gagner,Cousins , must contribute.
I am totally done with Read, I can't remember the last time he scored. Sure the PP must be successful, but this team crys for secondary scoring on a consistent basis.
Let's hope our D and goaltending can continue to do their job. A minimum of 3 goals is what will be needed to beat the Caps. Time for everyone to step up, oh yeah Jake...it really is your time!!!! |

Read can be in a dogfight for the 12th or 13 forward spot for next year. He's been awful |

They easily could have traded him last summer... Now good luck. Well, you wouldn't get anything for him. The guy looks like he has no shot what so ever.

Unfortunately the flyers teams over the past few years rarely score on odd man rushes and seem to rely on a cycling the puck which doesn't work well with outside of Simmonds and schenn. The supporting cast isn't fast enough to win foot races and are not gritty enough to win board battles. They need to draw more penalties and stay out of the box to hammer out a win tonight. Get on ovechkin like we do with malkin and he will lose his cool. Get the Russian blood boiling. Crank up the hitting and swing the momentum our way. |

We are. We over value our players and refuse to sell high on players like Read. Give them pay raises and get stuck with crap players. |

Didn't realize that Read and Simmonds make almost the same amount of money. Well Cap hit at least.
Seems insane.
Raffle's cap hit over doubles next year. Ew |

Read has scored 19 goals combined in his last 2 seasons. Guy is done and over paid. Let's hope Raffl does not fall off like Read has. They can both make a believer out of me again if they do something this series! |

I suppose with the injury to Sean Couturier, this is where I'm massively disappointed with Scott Laughton. The expectation has always been that he could one day become a checking center. He's not even at center now. |

I thought that too but I will give him another year before I become totally disappointed in him. It will interesting to see what he brings tonight. I think he will be skating hard and playing very physical..( at least I hope)

Manning being a fixture in the lineup no matter how bad he plays is frustrating. Medvedev is our 2nd best PP QB with Streit struggling and he can't even get on the ice. |

Not sure why you think it would have been easy to trade a guy coming off a poir season with 3 years left at $3.625m but its impossible to trade the same guy with 2 years left. |

You never know may have just been an "off season" that's what I hoped but he did the same thing again this year. Easier to trade a guy after one bad season than 2 |
