I was at the game last night unfortunatey (atleast the tickets were free). It seemed that the Devil's were, strangely, the quicker team for most of the night. Pens didn't look awful, but there was never a real feel that they were a threat.

I don't think last night was a tire fire. We played ok, and some guys, Kessel and Letang, actually had really good games despite not finding the score sheet. I am perfectly ready to chalk this one up to too many days off. With the identity this team has adopted, I bet they're pretty pissed off after last night and will come out guns blazing against Detroit to try for the season sweep. Good thing too, as it will be my first Penguins game ever

Actually it's been almost the opposite, he was really good early on and has been meh for the last month or so. Still a big loss though.

I have the unpopular oppinion that Maatta has been mostly good since being paired with Letang. Yea he's slow and his first step is atrocious but his positioning and stick work has all been there. I think he needs an offseason of intensive workout to put his major injuries (this doesn't seem to be one) behind him and get his first stride back. That's why I wasn't thrilled when he announced he'd complete his service requirement to the Finnish armed forces this offseason and the next. I'd rather be work to get his physical hockey playing shape back and get his career back in line to the stud status it was tracking towards pre-cancer and shoulder surgeries and wait to start his service next offseason or the season after. He has until the age of 28 to complete it.

Unreal that he still has to complete his service despite battling cancer and having multiple surgeries.

But I guess if he's healthy enough to play in the NHL, he's healthy enough to complete his service.
