My take...
1) Joel Quenneville - CHI
2) Darryl Sutter - LA
3) Barry Trotz - WAS
4) Claude Julien - BOS
5) Peter Laviolette - NAS
6) AV - NYR
7) Dave Hakstol - PHI
8) Bruce Boudreau - ANA
9) Lindy Ruff - DAL
10) Ken Hitchcock - STL
11) Jon Cooper - TB
Also, Babcock is totally overrated... and yes, he was overrated in Detroit as well, at least at the end of his tenure. |

I would have Trotz at #1, I've been impressed with him now that he actually has weapons on his team, then Q, Sutter, probably AV, Hitchcock, Laviolette, Babcock and Ruff. I think Cooper might be more over rated than Babcock |

Since I actually went to the game last night I actually watched the whole thing for the first time this season. My totally biased thoughts:
1. Vey is Kyle Wellwood 2.0
2. Biega reminds me The Little Engine That Could – “I think I can, I think I can”. Nope, he cant. He’s like Bieksa without any of the defensive prowess or toughness.
3. The only reason Markstrom made that incredible bare hand save is cause JV stayed out way too long and gave the puck away throwing it up the middle.
4. Hamhuis had the best shot from the point. Hamhuis.
5. The first pass was awful. It was consistently passed into the forwards’ feet.
Seriously, bring on the expansion draft because this roster has less than 8 players to protect. |

Dano only scored eight goals in 35 games in 2014-15. Coming into last night's game, he had two in 21 games this year with Chicago and Winnipeg. The 21-year-old looks like a superstar when he plays in Rogers Arena. I wonder if he would have been able to produce like that if the Canucks had been able to acquire him as part of a Dam Hamhuis swap with Chicago?
According to Nighthawk, that was never considered. |

I agree Carol, I thought Markstrom played well, a two on none and a few strange bounces or he'd have made it closer.
Team looked like they were either disinterested or the took Tryamkin out to the Roxy? |

This is the case, watching the first 10 mins and Hutton gave the puck away 3-4 times, I knew it was going to be disastrous night.
Or a great night if your Scooby and a tanknation fan...the only true good fans of the canucks apparently... |

Happy to see Pedan get a look, enough Weber and Bart. If there are going to be turnovers let it be done by new guys who still have a chance to get better
EDIT: Also reading/following Irfaan's tweets are almost as much of a struggle as his interview skills |

Sutter took them to two cups and made the in game and between game adjustments to get them to the promised land and beat coach Q who i regard as the best of the lot. If Sutter can beat Q in a seven game series when the Hawks are at their best, then he's got to be worth something.
Sutter took that group of players and did something special with them in terms of style and system suited to the parts on hand.
Crawford/ AV could never take talented Nux teams and coach them correctly to get them the cup. In game and between game adjustments, roster changes, etc... were never what was needed to win and beat the opposition. Not being able to outcoach the other guy when it really counted.
Lemaire got the better of Crawford when that Nux team should have won and AV when he got beat 3 or 4 years straight... when the team should have won. |
