Carol Schram: Vancouver Canucks Brandon Sutter, Alex Edler Injured in Win Over Avalanche The Vancouver Canucks will look to extend their winning streak to two games and stay in the playoff hunt as they face the Arizona Coyotes for the second game of their Moms' Trip on Wednesday night.

Really starting to believe that Willie is part of Team Tank. I try for the most part to avoid the hysteria surrounding his lineup decisions, but can't see why keeping McCann out of lineup makes sense here. He's got to play a bit more consistently or end him back to junior for the rest of the year. I don't see the team as better with Cracknell in the lineup, so maybe Willie's a Tanker.

so much for being under a cap squeeze. With those two undoubtedly going on LTIR that shores up what, like 8 or 9 mill for the rest of the season?

If we do sell off assets, bringing back significant salary aka cap dumps could raise our value to contending teams.

What say you?

Wondering if the McPlan is actually written down or made up on the fly?

ya, this definitely should give JB more flexibility. Have to think it nudges him towards selling too, if he wasn't there already.

I'm willing to bet that WD and JB have discussed the draft pick and the potential therein. What other reason would McCann be sat and Miller starting? We all know McCann should be the immediate replacement at center and Markstrom should be starting after last night...

I want to have faith in this team's direction but still don't see what the plan is.

I was pretty confident that it was to make the playoffs or at least push for them, but considering that they are not willing to play their hot goaltender is ridiculous. Miller has played better recently but I thought this was a results based league and the reality is Miller has lost 5 in a row, when those wins are critical.

The fact that they think it is more important for their two best prospects to spend more time in the gym and the press box than in playing hockey is baffling as well.

Players can add muscle and work on fitness in the off-season, wasting valuable development time not playing hockey doesn't make any sense. I don't care where they play but Jake and Jared need to be playing hockey every couple of nights.

McCann is playing his first 82 game season. He's looked pretty burned out to me, I think he's just giving him an extended rest. Virtanen is playing really well, can't take him out. Could be a minor injury.

Markstrom? Markstrom has been in net for more wins of late... if they wanted to win, you'd think he'd be seeing a few more starts.

Yeah, I don't know the deal there. You don't just give the starting job to Markstrom though, he's clearly playing better... though maybe if they did he'd demand a trade

I have liked most of what Benning has done over the past two years, but have to admit the McPlann is somewhat baffling. A week ago, team was saying they are going to up the kids' games and Virtanen is playing more, but McCann is playing less. MCCann was too valuable to loan to the World Juniors, but now he's Cracknell's caddy. Last year, I thought Willie was great, this year, he seems like a senile old man just muttering stuff that only makes sense to him.

And if this is all about making playoffs to sell two nights' worth of seats, they are potentially hurting the brand as at this point, I think the xcitement comes from glimpsing the future, not Cracknell, Weber or Higgins.

Don't have to outright give Markstrom the job, but at least give him a few more starts to see if his recent good play is sustainable. can he handle more games?

JB might have some sense of loyalty to Miller, but he should be gone at or before next season's tdl...

the party line we have heard, is the club wants to make the playoffs... some of their roster decisons don't point to this though...

My friend and I both found the interview with Beth Bartkowski to be utterly painful to watch.
