I'm honestly rooting for Flower to play a back-to-back. I don't want Zatkoff spoiling this. We need another OT loss or a win. Taking 2-3 points from this series would be huge. Impossible to be negative about that. |

It was a very entertaining game and look forward to another one tonight. Loved the fact this team stayed tough and fought back from being down 2-0. Very encouraging. |

I still can't get over how crazy it is seeing the Penguins now compared to how they were with johnstons system . Even the pp looks great right now, leading me to understand more why they kept lemieuxs buddy on the bench , especially if he does in fact run the special teams . Also really nice to see close it down when they have the lead , while blowing leads have been a Pittsburgh thing for years also . Fun to watch hockey again , thanks mike Sullivan ! |

Seriously what does Perron have to do for this board to cut him some slack? he had an assist, should have had a couple more, skated like a bat out of hell to clober a guy on a break away. I think if he gave each one of you a million dollars you would still hate him. Kunitz played great last night too. Didn't translate to much but he did. |

Perron is a great player, he does most things right except shooting the puck. Where on here have you seen anyone say "ugh I wish Perron back checked or hustled once in a while"? |

Kunitz was awful last night. He was the only one who had me literally screaming at the tv. I hope he's the next one traded. |

I don't think he's "great." He's good and plays a solid game. His production does need to pick up, though. |

I hope they take advantage of Perron's slump and sign him to a 4 year deal for $3M |

Kessel needs to score tonight. Can't bring in a "goal scorer" and have him choke on the 20 chances he had |

For what it's worth, his shooting % this year is more than a half point higher than it was last year. |

Is he taking less shots then? Correct me if I'm wrong, but he's a 6 mil player on track for around 20 goals |

No, he's right on track for 25 goals (25.3, mathematically), the same that he had last year. His assists are way down, though.
Edit: Yes, he is taking fewer shots, just scoring on more of them. |

My top 6 ATM would be:
Perron-Crosby-Hornqvist
XXX-Makin-Kessel
In that empty spot they can slot in Kunitz, continue to slot Cullen there, give Bonino a try, stick in Bennett when he's healthy, or give Simon a few games test run. Right now the best option is Kunitz probably, but the point is that he's near replaceable with what he's currently bringing. If a trade comes up for Kunitz that helps us moving forward, I'm pulling the trigger. |

From what I saw, Kessel skated his ass off, especially in overtime. Just couldn't bury one. There was one play where Perron had Kunitz cross-crease for an easy pass but Perron being snakebitten wanted to try and exercise the demons.. all he had to do was pass it and game over.. I thought Kessel was going to bury one before having to backcheck on that rush. Mindboggling to see all the Leafs fans talk about how he doesnt backcheck or play defense.. where in all the games I've watched, it's been quite the opposite. Not physical, but solid with his stick, and definitely makes the effort to get back and make a play. |

I think a lot of it had to do with Toronto. I wouldn't go all-out for that team and their fans, either. |
