Are we all happy with Virtanen pick again?

Was never unhappy with the Virtanen pick to begin with other than the fact he is a bit lazy in the WHL...that will be coached out of him at the NHL level and watching him last night I don't think long term effort is going to be an issue.

McCann on the other hand is starting to show concerns. I like him as a player but he aint anywhere near built like Horvat or Virtanen...could be some issues if those concussions keep popping up. To early to tell though...

Prior to the hit, did anyone notice that McCan drifted quite a bit out there? I was specifically watching for him and he seemed slower than the rest. I have high hopes for him as a 2C in our future but I didn't see the same McCan that Dubas had raved about.

That is disappointing. People are products of their surroundings some times kids can't help but become racist adults but, as was mentioned earlier, people can change.

Canucks must have known that article was out there, maybe the guy has changed? I believe in second chances. Fingers crossed.

Since 2002, no center had less primary assists in at least 1000min. Only 2 also had 3.

This guy is a winger playing the center position, he's going to make his wingers worse, not better. I still think he'll be decent as a 3rd liner but he's going to be one of those players that frustrating to watch but ends up with decent totals to end the season.

Ehlers = Brian Gionta 2.0 (best case scenerio)

That was a great draft class. Especially when you include the "almost 1st rd pick" Taylor Ellington who was so good he could only play 21 AHL games.
