Carol. Are the canucks allowed to send Vey and Horvat to Utica for the playoffs? |

It's time for a rebuild. The Sedins realistically will retire here, but the rest of the old/expensive vets need to be convinced to waive their NTC's. |

Nope. Vey would have to clear waivers and Bo is ineligible for some reason.
Kenins and Baertschi can. |

Better team won.
While I believe WD should be back next yr, but if next playoffs he's as bad as he was this one, then he should be gone. |

Fully agree. Hartley was clearly the better coach in this series. |

"The Canucks were a reactive team that got owned by Calgary on so many dimensions over the past 10 days."
So true Carol. |

I usually hate listening to people whine about the officiating, but it was very one sided in this series. The GI call on McMillan in the 3rd period of a one goal elimination game was completely unacceptable. As the was the closing the hand on the puck call which was essentially replicated to a T by one of the flames only a few minutes later but with no call to follow. A good team can fight through that poope but its hard to swallow as a fan of this league sometimes. Let the boys play hockey and decide the outcome themselves. |

I will admit this, despite the expected first round exit, watching the team was much more enjoyable this year than last.
I'm hopefully Benning is smart enough not to be chasing the playoff dream next year and the team takes a step back with an injection of youth. |

The rebuild has started. Prospect pool is 100x deeper then 3 yrs ago.
Youth being injected into roster. Next yr Mathias, Richardson and at least one more vet Hansen/bonino/Higgins will be moved up front to make room for more youth.
And one or both of Bieksa and Hamhuis on defense. |

Bo is a NHLer now ...sending him to Utica should be a no go ....send him to the worlds instead |

We should hold WD accountable for the result. The most glaring gaffe is not having the ability to have your team preserve a 3 goal lead. How would AV have handled that? WD is a rookie, I think he procrastinates making adjustments. With Harley it's old hat. |

I don't know if he'd make that team. I could see one or both of Tanev or Hamhuis getting invited.
Would be cool to see though. |

Yup - I expect nothing less than three younger players to find roles with the team next year. Bieksa, Higgins, Burrows, Matthias, Richardson and Weber can all go find a home somewhere else. |

I remember when the bruins let Ference walk. Didn't even offer him a contract. And benning said he is and was a great player fie us. But you gotta move on and make room on the roster for youth. |

Burrows isn't going anywhere. I actually believe van would want a considerable amount to move him.

I think he would ...his speed on the big ice ...I don't have the roster on hand but I'm pretty sure I saw a few guys that I would slot Bo ahead of .....tanev if healthy would be a good add ...hamhuis won't be going as he is injured |

For me it was the lack of "coaching and matching. The Witherspoon-Schelmko pairing isn't scaring anybody. Probably both #7 guys at best. Attack that pairing with the sedins are then Dorsett and Mathias.
We all agree Higgins is at best a 3rd liner. Yet he plays more then your top 10 league scorers |
