Get Dorsett signed, you can't have enough guys like that. They should look at moving either Matthias or Richardson at some point. |

From what I've seen so far - I'd resign Richardson and Dorsett. I'd let Matthias walk. |

I don't get how the canucks road points are what is making the difference when it is identical(basically) to their home wins.... |

I don't know. He's interesting. Big body with some skill. has he suffered by developing in FLA or is he just another brad isbister?
Depends on the money I guess. 2 year contract with 4th line money? |

I'd give him 1.5-2 mil a year. For me I think he has more upside than kassian. |

Maybe this year but Kass has been a bit of an enigma this year, battled injuries and hasn't had the best line mates. He really hasn't shown much this year at all unfortunately. I just feel Shawn's upside isn't that high. |

Matthias is alright. He's no all star, but he drives the net better then Booth ever did. Kassian should be doing that, but either can't or won't; if we've got to move someone, I'd prefer to move him. Plus, he probably has more trade value (more, not a lot). Kassian would be tough to let go: he's big, but doesn't use his size, can play physical, but rarely does, and has some skill, but rarely demonstrates it. Let another team try and mine his potential. |

He's been an enigma since he's gotten here. He's not had the best linemates, sure, but he has still been the worst player on that line. |

He has really hasnt shown much compete this year at all, Id give him a pass because of injuries and being only 23. His value is not very high, doesnt cost a lot, no sense rushing him out just yet. |

Matthias - 26
Kassian - 23
I was (and still am) a fan of tanking for a great draft pick but if the canucks are going to try and stay competitive while retooling then I wouldn't move Kassian just yet. I would actually keep both. If you're going to make the playoffs you need big, strong, skilled guys.
Kassian is a headcase, but if WD can figure him out then he's worth keeping. Give WD a season with him... |

Ya I disagree with you there, if you look at their corsi, Kassian is killing them both at -2 compared to -25 for Matthias and -35 for Richardson.
Which if you don't know what corsi is, takes all shot attempts for minus shot attempts against while on the ice and is a decent indicator of whether you are getting outplayed on a regular basis.
Kassian will be fine and this team can't afford to move out any size up front. |
