Good read, as always Tony.
I love your team, your young D is almost as exciting as the Coyotes, but unfortunately, the real reason I stopped by was to trash talk you nerds!
The fact is, the score tomorrow is going to be 196-2 in favor of the guys in red.
In all seriousness, I'll see if I can't try to watch the game live for once so we can interact a little during what is sure to be a good game.

Can't say I don't like what Fletch and Wild ownership are doing right now! Getting some key players in this young corps under long term extensions, and honestly for really pretty reasonable dollars in this new era of the NHL is if nothing else, commendable. |

Good blog Tony. Making it easy too keep up with all things wild.
I think this team has a real bright future, look forward to watching them take out the Hawks this year!
Still no Bryz though... |

What the hell is going on with Smith the sieve and that highly touted defense there Jimbo? Giving up a lot of goals! |

I'm still seeing nothing from Koivu/Vanek and I think it's because Vanek isn't very good at keeping the cycle going. Koivu seems to thrive when he has linemates that can do that.
Maybe Vanek can get whatever illness Ballard and Folin have and be out for a game and then Yeo will be forced to find a new linemate for Koivu.
I'd like to see Zucker with better linemates too. |

Just checking out some detailed stats on NHL.com. The top power play guys (Koivu, Parise, Vanek, Pominville, Suter) all got about 4:20 of PP time. Granlund had 1:40, Spurgeon had 1:43. I think those two deserve more PP time. |

Zucker on 4 is pointless w/Cooke and Carter IMO.
Vanek not a good puck handler/mover so far. |

Agreed. Spurgeon an offensive catalyst when he's on the ice. And get Mikko off the first PP |

I like Fontaine's overall game better than Zucker's, but I think paired with the proper linemates Zucker could be a real scoring threat, which this team needs.
Fontaine has played well with Cooke and Brodziak in the past. With the depth of this lineup, I'm OK with moving him to the fourth line in order to maximize Zucker's offensive potential.

Yeah, the comments made by Russo yesterday is that Yeo likes the way Fontaine thinks the game which is a big reason he likes him on the 2nd line.
But I do agree that Zucker definitely has the more attractive size, speed and scorability. |
