Wouldnt Panik be the odd man out when Drouin comes back. Kucherov has earned himself a roster spot and i feel as though Connolly also deserves a full season. With Stamkos, Cally, Palat, Johnson, Filp, Killorn, Kuch, Drouin, Brown, Morrow, Boyle, and Connolly all basically locked in, i dont know where Panik will end up, unless morrow is scratched for panik or something

Scratching doesn't solve the problem. He'd have to be demoted or shipped out.

Panik- trade 'em if need be. He's just not going to fit with this team going forward, in my opinion.

We've only seen the pre-season folks, not the real deal. Let's see how they perform against an NHL lineup top to bottom. It would be a shame to lose the size and grit that Panik provides. Brett Connolly also has size which is a much needed commodity on this team. I think Vladdy get's sent down once Drouin is ready and they sort it out with their play. It will also be easier to pass a guy through waivers 3 weeks into the season than now. Yzerman should find plenty of trading partners for Connolly or Panik if he decides to go that route, but he's restricted in contracts he can take back, and would probably prefer picks.

Hate to say it but it will probably be Vlad. He is shown himself to be good in the preseason, I think he will get some games to prove he is too good to be sent down. But he is the logical choice in my opinion.

Connolly is safe in my opinion so he really isnt on my list, Panik is a power forward type of which we only have Killorn so he if can step it up why lose him for nothing. Sustr has proven he is NHL ready and Cooper loves the 11-7 so keeping 8 D makes sense.

Again all that leads to probably Vlad going down when Drouin is ready, sucks to say but he will be first call up which is a good thing.

If you're right, Vlad is the Connolly of this year.

Not a whole lot. Late round pick... maybe? He's worth more to the Lightning in potential than he is on the trade market, IMO. Especially given that teams know the Bolts have to make a roster move of some sort.

Cap shouldn't be an issue with Ohlund going on LTIR, I don't think.

Because a spot needs to be opened up somewhere. Not saying trading Panik is my first choice, but it's an option.

I think one of the biggest surprises to me is that Anton Stralman is on the second unit PP and not Garrison, I wonder why they went this route. Garrison has an absolute bomb of a shot (though accuracy is iffy) that is a weapon for any power play.

But ask any Van fan and they'll tell you that it is a huge bomb, but as accurate as a drunk man in the dark trying to piss into a toilet.

That is quite the analogy haha. Stmakos may be able to teach him a thing or two about hitting the net.

I think Namestnikov ends up getting sent down. It just makes the most sense from a long term perspective.

What a great situation to be in. I can't remember a time when the Lightning have had so many budding full time young nhlers with enormous potential. Yzerman has truly turned this franchise around from the ground up.

How many have noticed that nhl.com predicts a Tampa Bay player/coach to win or be nominated for each of the major year end trophies? All the credit to Yzerman and Mr. Vinik for enabling his general manager to follow through with his vision. Can you imagine Yzerman in the Koules and Barrie ownership era? Those bumbling doofuses forced Lawton to buyout Vinny Prospal's contract (a 60-70 point player at a cool 3.5 mil/year) and sign "Go Home" Malone for 4.5 mil/year for 7 years!

I am SO sick of the media putting us on the spot before we've played a single game this season.
