I think it might be Talbot. Lundqvist played last night. He also has a cold. |

Those two are surprising. Thought one would definitely make the team. |

I think you will see Jersey as a front runner for Leddy.i hope they get him as I think Deboer would be good for his game |

I don't think so. Devils have a defensive core that is pretty set. Merrill, Gelinas, Larsson, Salvador, Green, Harrold and Zidlicky. Also have two verygood prospects in Serverson and Santini. |

Not surprised about Matteau. People forget how young he is because he played a few games when he was 18. |

Doubt the Devils make any moves for Dmen, This will likely be Salvador and Zidlickys final year with the team, and they will likely replace one of those two from within, wouldn't be surprised to see them try to sign Paul Martin in the offseason though.
If they make any trades it will be to try to get a legit top 6 wing. |

I realize he's 20. Considering he played on a line with Fasching at last year's WJC. |

Interesting Severson is still up and is playing again tonight. They're having a hard time sending him down. |

I think he will be sent down, but he will probably be the first call up if there is an injury. |

Even if the Devils were interested in Leddy, I'd think Chicago would want one of Merrill, Gelinas or Larsson, which for me would end the conversation anyway. Leddy would give a proven 30-40 point d-man, which would be good. But I think the long-term all-around upside of Gelinas and Larsson exceeds Leddy's and Merrill provides the physicality that Leddy lacks. It wouldn't be a sensible fit. And we don't even know if Leddy could still produce that many points given the way the Devils play. |

Agreed. I think that's the smartest move. It's not like he's miles better than Harold to warrant being the 7th man and not playing top pair in Albany. Send him back. |

Yes, but Gelly and Larssen have been shaky. Jury is still out on how good or bad they will be. But with Leddy you know ur getting a future top 4 d-man who skates great. I'd trade Gelly for Leddy in a heartbeat and I think I'd be more then ok swapping Larssen. |

Maybe they'll deem Salvador still injured and throw him on IR, replacing him with Severson, I can dream right?
With Boucher gone it seems like the forward lines are almost set
Camm-Zajac-Jagr
Zubrus-Elias-Havlat
Clowe-Henrique-Ryder
Ruutu-Gomez-Brunner
Really curious to see what they do with Gionta, Bernier, and Josefson. Based on everything we've seen in training camp and the preseason it seems like that fourth line is what they'll go with. |

Nick Leddy is alright but you need to remember his point totals are going to be inflated playing on a team as offensively great as the Blackhawks. Even so, Leddy scored 31 points in 82 games last year. Gelinas scored 29 points in 60 games last year. You'd swap them in a heartbeat? I have a feeling someone is going to significantly overpay for Leddy. |

Islanders get Boychuk and Leddy. That's a great 2nd pair on most teams. I think the Islanders just turned into a wildcard contender. |

And for nothing. I thought Boston should of gotten rid of Seidenberg. Hes older slower and doesn't produce much. Boychuk could of filled his spot easily. |
