Hextall mentioned the big 3 guys he traded the last couple years of Hartnell's term away so they could be resigned. They were Brayden Scehnn, Coots and Coburn. Coby isn't on the outs as much as MacTavish really wants him. But as our only real franchise D-man in his Prime, he'd be really hard to replace. He plays big minutes against Crosby & Malkin... we kind of need him.

But then again, I did not see the Hartnell move coming... nor understand it when it did so...

Things change... ie moving Ward! Also, using draft pick(s) judiciously could help acquire what we need.
I've a question... what happened to Redden? retired, Europe, minors? anyone know?

The Canes are doomed for two more years until 3 overpaid, underperforming players come off the books. Almost 20 million would come off the books in one offseason. We came just hope the team drafts well and Lindholm & company develop well.
