Trotz is a brilliant coach. He played defensivley in Smashville because thats the only way those guys could win games. Zero offensive talent on that team. If they played an offensive system they would have gotten destroyed.

He's very capable of implimenting and offensive system on an offensive team like ours.

I'm not sold until I see it. The Canucks top 6(potentially minus Kesler) isn't exactly a top tier group.

Botchford had an interesting take on Trotz and basically said with all the talent that he has had in nets and on the back end and Trotz making the playoffs once, is this really the guy you want? I may be wrong about the once ( you would think a numbers guy like me would,know) but I was half paying attention.

Another point Botch suggested cheering for the Rangers. He said of the six teams Kesler agreed to, only Ana and Pitt were the only teams interested. He said long playoff runs may get them to,second guess.

Same on Kesler, although I think Anaheim would be interested regardless, a 2nd round exit for Pittsburgh could (should) be all it takes for them to make a serious trade push.
