Several games? The PK has been damn good going back a couple of months. You don't go from less than 70% to over 81% in a few games.

John Jaeckel: Odds, Ends And A Game Tonight! - John Jaeckel
What makes his signing a bit more interesting is that he was allegedly swayed by the promise that he would appear in some games for Chicago this season.
He was not told he would play in some NHL games, he was told he might. There is a difference.
from: http://www.thespec.com/ne...ey-signs-with-blackhawks/
By Thursday, the Rangers were still in the picture making it a two-horse race. Then the Blackhawks sweetened the pot by telling him he'd report straight to Chicago and might get into some NHL games this year. He says that, combined with the class the organization showed him, and the chance to play with and learn from guys like Jonathan Toews, pretty much sealed it.
My guess is that once it gets to the last few games of the season, if the playoff picture is solidified, they will throw him in a game (or two). |

Carey's from my beloved hometown Hamilton, Ontario...a.k.a. 'The armpit of Southern Ontario." and i hear he's fully stocked up on Right Guard....so CONGRATS TO him and TT. Hope they both run with any opportunity they get.

Teuvo is aware of the expectations and pressure, but says he doesn't feel it and is taking it day by day. Just wants to play and have fun. |

The kid said he wanted to develop his game at the pro level. So reporting directly to chicago, even if he doesn't suit up for a game, would give him an opportunity to learn from Toews and Hoss by osmosis.
Anyone know if the same rules apply to this kid, as like all other entry level deals, reg'd # of games played before it slides? |

Is it honestly necessary for you to be a douchebag all the time? I brought up a point about way more pages than necessary with nothing on topic. A few people made a few jokes and were done with it, and everyone moved on. No problem. You want to resort to now name calling and bringing it up again?
The Daily Herald board started as a great place to talk about Hockey and the Hawks, and then a few people took over the majority of the posts and became belligerent a-holes, and that effectively forced everyone away (that and the pay wall). Keep it up here, I know a bunch of people that now longer post because of crap like this. - TheTrob
Name calling? I believe you are the one calling someone a name. |

Hey, Wiz. I appreciate your work on the draft and prospects. Help us all out here with a little perspective. Just for grins, opine on this: If Matt Carey were thrown into the 2014 NHL draft (instead of being a free agent able to pick his team), what round would he be drafted in this year. And while you're at it, same for LeBlanc and Raanta last year, and Schultz the year before. I include Schultz because what i had read indicated he was well above these others in quality.
Thanks. I think the board will appreciate this perspective on the value of these "free draft picks" of late. |

They had a rough start to the season. After the first 6 weeks, they started putting it together. They still had a couple of hiccup games in there but have been pretty consistent since then. |
