Good point about the Canucks not collapsing in the 3rd, Carol.
Really lends credence to the theory that this team was way too fatigued leading up to the Olympic break.
But that fatigue is also due to a serious lack of depth, so it's not really like a few weeks of rest is going to solve this teams problems...
Will likely end up looking the same within a few weeks of overusing certain players.

I almost crapped myself when Hansen scored. He never hits the net let alone puts it in it on the breakaway. |

I buy the TSN theory as well Carol. I’m always perplexed by EK’s so called insider knowledge about the Canuck’s, his rumors are hardly breaking or accurate by any means. MG is obviously annoyed by the leaks whether they are true or false. One thing we do know is he likes to be very secretive about any deals, like the Cory Schneider deal last year which caught everyone by surprise. If nothing else we also know his phone is ringing right now and one thing he is trying to figure out is….”Are we buying or selling?” |

Seems to me Kesler does want out for more than one reason
Team needs to retool or re build.
Family Reasons
Torts
Just stale in Vancouver
Maybe all the above.
To me he just looks unhappy on the ice and sour in post game interviews.
Seems like a chance for the Canucks to add two or three good young players as he makes a valuable addition to a contending team. Not that Vancouver isn't.
Hoping it does not turn into another Luongo saga for everyones's sake.
Hawks have several pieces in Pirri, Morin and MacNeil but not sure Gillis would trade him to a rival like Chicago. In the end Gillis needs to make the best deal he can because a marginal trade may cost him his job.

Let's it leak that Kesler wants to be moved—trades the Sedins.

the Sedins would never fetch fair value in return... they'll retire canucks. |

If he's going to Chicago, I want Saad back. So not likely to happen. |

100% sarcasm. Hence the
I was parodying what MG did with the Lou/Schneider situation.
I'm a huge Sedin fan, and would hate to see them in another NHL jersey. |

Exactly - I think for him it is more about not liking the media. |

I find it quite funny that people don't believe anything Gillis says "he's just a liar"
but completely believe that Kesler wants out when he hasn't said anything. |

He did that to himself, I just suggested a way to slim down
and yes, I know I screwed up the page with a YouTube clip that is too wide, but that's just how I roll. |

Just trade Kesler to Phil for Braydon Schenn, Scott Laughton and 2nd round pick! |

Cana't see them trading Kesler at the deadline. Maybe in the summer when they would get more for him. Don't think they would get close to fair value for him now. |

"no way Kadri for Kesler 1 for 1...Leafs would need a high pick and maybe a prospect atleast. Not Saying Kadri is a sure fire player, but his age and contract situation is worth more than Kesler"
This is happening right now |

Sutter and a non-1st pick/prospect from a PHI fan over on the Pens board...
And I'm a "chuuuuuuump" for suggesting he's worth more... |

So how exactly does one get traded out of Vancouver? Maybe Aquilini will go to his house as well. |
