Interviews are beneath him - LeftCoaster
You have to understand it to a certain extent, crazed hockey market and interviews examined to the nth degree and then possibly being taken out of context later.
Liked how he clarified his views on ntc/nmc - will not ask players to waive- players have to ask to be traded...
we need a new GM.
liked how Blake tried to paraphrase and clarify and Gillis ended up shutting him down... Gillis is a tool. |

Jeesuz. I feel like I'm listening to either a politician or lawyer (or both) every time he's on the air.
If he's not going to approach players to waive their NTCs then there will no trades of significance - now or over the summer.
To be clear, that rules out trading: Sedins, Kesler, Burrows, Higgins, Edler, Bieksa, Garrison, Hamhuis, Luongo.
Time to park those dreams of a top6 trade permanently. |

He was dancing on 1040. That was pretty amusing for a moment, then Irem embered the Isles coach and GM. |

yeah, I was going to say I doubt this team will change drastically in the next little while. Would be shocked if we see a "bigger" move a la edler kesler etc |

I say we will lose 2-0 tonight but comeback and blowout the leafs. 7-1. Then Montreal trades us Patches for Burrows, Stanton and 2nd as a thank you. |

I fully understand why it's painful for him to answer these questions or participate in these interviews, doesn't make it less funny. |

I don't know if they were really trying to put words in his mouth or were just looking for some straight answers.
I am glad Blake clarified his stance on ntc/nmc because I was wondering the same thing before the follow up clarification.
Interesting about the team doctors and medical clearances.
What is funny is Henrik was cleared to play last game or cleared himself? Is it a sort of pain threshold? Wonder how many players will play anyway if they don't have the team's clearance? |

I don't think can play if not cleared? Wouldn't that be an insurance thing? |
