Absolutely, without question, the most ludicrous thing i have seen in a hockey game.
You are telling me that they had the choice and chose NOT to call Toronto?

They actually can't review that in my mind. What if the pick hits the meshing at 19:30 left in the 3rd and no whistle stops play until 2:00 (highly unlikely but possible) and then someone scores. The NHL would not want a technicality to disallow the goal and reset the clock to 19:30.
Bad break for LA (and crappy deal for my Leafs who will be fighting Detroit for a playoff spot) but if the refs don't blow the play dead they can't roll the clock back even though it would only be a second or two.

In cases like this, when the game is already stopped, I don't understand why Toronto can't contact the on ice crew and give them instruction. It just needs to be the RIGHT call. This sucks. |

Its cause the refs have a hard on for detroit. They get away with everything im not surprised this happened. Only team in the league that is allowed to throw pick plays all game long. |

Holy crap, I though the COL/NSH game was reffed like **** tonight. That's asinine...
It's completely retarded how bad it's gotten when it comes to refs not doing their job, or completely controlling games with bad calls.
It just seems to be one or the other every freaking game I watch regardless of who is playing. |

Jim Fox ( Kings color commentator) brought up a good point, this wouldn't happen in any other sport, it would have been reviewed and overturned.

They have done that before. Smyth scored against the Sharks a few years back and the refs missed it. Play went on for a few minutes until the Sharks scored. Refs reviewed the Smyth goal, confirmed it did go in, counted it, took off the San Jose goal, and reset the clock.
So they can already do that.

It could be worse, you could have lost your best player with a severed achilles after the puck hit the mesh and play went on.. |

We should expect a correction on the point standings?...............four clowns in sripes all missed it............shyt happens but a bad show by the NHL.
If the puck got stuck in the netting then a wings fan throws a puck at Quick, then essentially they still would have called it a goal |

One of the worst missed calls I've ever seen. It should have been obvious to 3 of the 4 zebras.
As far as the Canucks go (what is / has happened tonight), realistic Vancouver fans have to be embarrassed by the actions of their coach. The last two games he has told his guys to play goon hockey, so Calgary makes a statement that they're not going to take it, and Tort tries to.. well I'm still not sure what he was doing near the Flames locker room.
That's just embarrassing. |

Terrible missed call. I hope these officials are embarrassed. However, this is the NHL, and with that clownish weasel Buttman running it, nothing they do (or don't) surprises me anymore. |
