I think, from everything I've seen and heard, Danault has a really good shop at sticking. |

Guessing this means that no more UFA signings. Khabby was the Hawks big splash from another team. Sounds like Danault may have a shot at the team.
Really don't see where Jimmy Hayes fits in. He is a lumbering Eric Daze without the goal scoring ability. Interesting to hear Lalonde to the wing, as our resident IceHog expert, does Lalonde have the skills to do that Eli? From the limited things I have read on Lalonde, he is nothing special on D |

Hayes is pretty soft for his size and Daze might be a pretty good comparison. |

No surprise that the 1st round picks are shining in a camp mostly full of free agents and lower round picks.....
Good to hear about Dannault. McNeil has generally sleptwalked and looked terrible the last two camps I saw him at so it's no surprise that he was behind PD in this one. Probably too busy looking at his watch. Last year Saad sleptwalked through camp, turned it on for maybe 5 minutes then went back to sleep. Different speeds for different people I suppose.
Is Garrett Ross mic'd up again? Last year him challenging people to fights was the most entertaining thing about camp. Wound up dancing with Chris Martin, who unfortunately wasn't the Chris Martin from Coldplay.....Ahh well. Maybe this year. |

JJ, what are the chances DaNault or even McNeill gets a real look at 2C or 3C over Kruger(4th or 2nd) or Pirri?
My gut tells me they still need seasoning in the AHL. |

I am rooting for Danault. Sounds like he has been working on all the right things to be a dedicated pro. From what I have heard about the kid, he seems like a natural replacement for Frolik with his high motor and defensive acumen. |

The biggest news has to be that they hired Yannic Perrault as a faceoff coach. That guy was automatic on faceoffs when he was playing. Give a lot of credit to whoever it was that came up with that. Wonder if he could handle the powerplay too. |

Lose a goalie coac but gain a faceoff coach... |

That goalie coach wasn't much of a loss. A good faceoff coach could make a huge difference. |

I think Danault could be the dark horse that surpasses the likes of Hayes, Morin and Pirri for a roster spot with the Hawks.
Also, I like the idea of moving Lalonde to the wing. |

Frolik for his hit on Bergeron. "In Game 4, my cartilage torn in the corner against [Michael] Frolik, so that's when it started and it obviously escalated because I kept playing and didn't have time to heal it." |

The single most important thing that separated the Hawks from the rest of the league was the penalty kill. It was that special team that bailed them out over and over again, sometimes even gaining them momentum. Frolik. |

Boston's PK was better than the Blackhawks, especially in the Finals where the Hawks got torched |

Last year, based on his offensive and on ice contribution, Frolik was more valuable than Stalberg, Bollig, Mayers and Carbomb.
