NO!

Ha, well, I can't let that "performance" go without calling it out. The guy looked like he wanted to be anywhere but on the ice playing the Kings. I'm sure the usual suspects will start whining and screaming that I'm picking on him.

Credit to the Kings, they won the game more than the Hawks lost it. But you have to get more from a top guy.

And before we start hearing "what about Toews?" "What about Hossa?"

Please. Don't be idiots.

Toews and Hossa killed penalties all night, were around the net all night, won pucks—or at least made an effort.

patrick kane, maybe he was hungover. maybe he doesnt care anymore, about hockey and competing for the first time in his life. maybe he is a weakling, which for some reason so many people want. just come out and accuse him of something instead of hedging around and sideways being mad about his performance.

Patrick Kane was -1, with 2 shots. Waving at pucks, failing to engage, a few cutesie drop passes, a total non-factor along the wall,

This is a recurring theme is Blackhawks losses this year. The top players are shut down and the team as a whole never seems to possess the puck. Its not just Kane or Boland or Toews, I think its a psychological theme that runs through the roster when they are losing. How many good Blackhawks losses do you remember this year? It seems that when they lose, even if the score is close, they never really felt in it.

interesting fact. sunday night the announcer on some national broadcast insisted kane did NOTHING all game, when in fact he had the sweetest pass of the entire game, which didnt end up a goal. a centering pass from behind the net, after outstickhandling about 3 defenders. people tend to pick on him if he isnt on the scoresheet. if he isnt trying then he has problems. obviously people think he isnt trying hard enough. so what is the real deal...i dont know.

Toews was doing his usual thing, battling everywhere, and Hossa had a very strong game, one of the few who was forechecking, chasing and retrieving, causing havoc and trying to make something happen all night.

Kane did look like he was just sort of hanging around waiting for his linemates to create space for him so he could do his spin-o-rama thing or whatever... He clearly really doesn't like physical contact, and apparently knows he can't make his "skate into 3-1 traffic" moves against these guys without getting throttled, so he didn't try that either, at least not that I saw.

Could go either way.

Nobody should be shocked if Keith gets one game. The play was reckless.

Huh? Are you sure your watching #88? Tonight was certainly a forgettable game for him. He wasn't very visible in the O zone and after the regular season ended it looks like he's lost interest in giving an honest effort in his own zone as well.

I think he is at his best when he knows he has someone riding shot gun for him against teams like this, buutt SB did N A D D A at the deadline to address this! plus he has guys on the team who could fill that role, so it is on Q who he dresses in certain situations!

It was pretty bad, though I don't think he meant to catch Carter's beard, and the way he reacted immediately after laying the stick might help his cause. It was obvious that he lost it for just a nanosecond, and was sorry he'd done so.

One game wouldn't surprise me either, and Hawks fans wouldn't have much to be outraged about if this happens.
