Versteeg is too streaky/injury prone/expensive. I really wouldn't go with any of the Panthers. Mueller is made of glass. He wouldn't last with the Bruins physical game.
Maybe Brad Boyes for a mid-late round pick? I think they'd be better suited picking up a depth Dman too. There's bound to be injuries in the playoffs, and if one of their big guys goes down, they don't have too much depth to fill in. |

Versteeg was originally a Bruins draft pick in '04, and played a season or so in Providence before being traded to Chicago for *shudder* Brandon Bochenski.
I wouldn't mind having Boyes back in black and gold.. |

would rather get the swedish kid (assuming he can play left wing on the 3rd line) and some blueline help. chia could have pulled the trigger on ryder if he wanted a streaky, overpaid winger who shows up in the playoffs. |

The Ottawa Sun is goofy, and there's no way in hell Florida is going to trade Mueller, now that he's found a good fit with their superstar rookie.
If Boston doesn't want one of those inflated second liners you mentioned, someone else will. that's who Florida will look to move. |

Interesting tidbit from the Ottawa Sun this past weekend...
the ottawa sun is on par with the national enquirer. i wouldn't take ANYTHING you read in there seriously.
they were printing bi-weekly articles, last season, about how ottawa was shoppoing spezza. they are completely clueless.
if they said boston was going after versteeg, then bruins fans can rest assured that there is no chance versteeg will be a bruin |

Ty Anderson: Weekend update: Rask, Caron, and could B's add a 'Cat? - tyanderson
The only Panther I would have taken was Weiss. Anyone else they would be willin to trade either has a multi-year deal or wouldn't be much better than Caron.
Alfredsson won't leave the Senators, as Yost points out the numbers keep pointing to the Sens being qualifying for the playoffs at least by the deadline. Truthfully I'd rather see Alfredsson stay with them regardless.
For me the guy is Iginla, but I understand he might not want to leave Calgary or someone like Pitt offers a better deal. It is a dream no doubt, but he fits the criteria better than anyone else.
Hope the Bruins don't take the Sens lightly tonight, they play with a ton of heart. |

If you could get Iginla without overpaying for him I would absolutely love him on the Bruins. He can still score and produce points. Hes got good totals this year. He has more points than both Lucic and Horton, he would immediately give the Bruins a better shot at the Cup. I'd offer a 1st, Knight and possibly a 3rd asset for Iginla. |

David Booth, a 2nd AND...a 7th.
BTW if the rumours for Clowe or Iginla to Boston come true then the rest of the East should just give up. |

That's a pretty big gap
Pens will still be tough with their firepower despite the trainwreck blue line back. |

He has more points than any Boston Bruin and Habs cleared Cole's 4.5M for the next 2 years, Id say you'll be juggling my hairy nut sack in your mouth for atleast a little while enjoy! |

Yeah somehow I don't think so. He'll vanish. He always does. Have fun killing along with your "media" when he does. Good luck with that. Either way (frank) off. |
