Everyone knows that Grigo-flerba derba herp derpitty doo-renko will win the Calder this year... along with the Hart, Art Ross, and the Vezina... In all seriousness, it'll be Tarasenko or Schultz IMO. |

It will be interesting to see who wins Calder, but I'm more interested in that silly little trophy called the Stanley Cup. Conacher still has to make the team while the previously mentioned rookies are already locks for there respective teams. |

He'll make it. Have faith. Who else slots in on that second line? It's his spot to lose. |

Getting tired of Garth's bromance I see, a little weird isn't it. |

Really too short of a season to determine some of these awards, some players take awhile to get in sync and develop with the big clubs and have finished in a flurry to get in on the conversation each year, not so this year Tough call thinking about a rookie award. |

Strome will win the Calder if he stays up with the Islanders... |

If he makes the team I think he\'s a shoe-in for the Masterson. Type 2 diabetes and a small guy (in hockey standards anyway). Doubt anyone has face more adversity then him. |

If you had seen the projections made for Schultz in the AHL, you\'d realize how much he was dominating over the entire league - over 100 pt projection. But he is a D and can get injured. Yet he would have won all the awards this year, and he is not a tiny player. He has made the team and has extensive time now with his potential teammates in the NHL. He will play the pp. He is several steps ahead of everyone else at this point. |

Tough talking about Calder Cup candidates until starting line-ups announced and there are some games played. |

Being short has never really been a consideration for the Masterson, and if the Islanders were going to put a player up for the trophy based on diabetes, they would put up Crombeen who has type 1. |

Such a deep rookie class, It's way too hard to make a call at this point. |

I get all the Schultz hype and I do think he has a legitimate shot at it, but I'm not sold on his defensive abilities at the NHL level. I've watched a fair amount of AHL action this year and there were times when Schultz looked far more like a forward than a defender. He will get eaten alive by the Sedins on the cycle. Offensively? Sure, he'll dominate. Defensively? Not so sure. |

Heeeeeeyyyyyy. Doesn't mean I don't want Conacher to win. I'll be hoping for a Conacher victory. |
