He'd probably trip, fall into a post, and blame it on someone else. |

Tendering offer sheets is within the rules, therefore not stealing. - 1979AD
I know but it looks that way a little ,i hope ottawa never uses this type of method to win .Just doent seem that honorable to win at that cost |

It's in the rules.
You might piss people off.
But it's legal and fair. |

How noble
I wasn't aware that playing within the rules was considered "stealing."
Pretty sure that you'd quickly forget about "stealing" Kane if he played a large role in bringing Ottawa a cup. (<-- Why do I now feel dirty for saying that?) - As_I_See_It
It's just too bad Burke thinks this way and not the way you and I or Holmgren do. |

So you honestly believe that Pacioretty was more deserving than either Lupul or Alfredsson.
Please explain. - As_I_See_It
i really don't have any feelings one way or another. Pacioretty was deserving. so was Lupul. it went the way it did. you can't really quantify either comeback. they were completely different scenarios. |

Too late ....In 96' the Sens offer poope'd Ron Tugnutt. I called it poope'd because it was Ron Tugnutt ..seemed more appropriate.
So, time to sell your jersey and pick and new team. |

lol "steal from others"
I never understood that. He's a free agent. Restricted but still a free agent. He is allowed to sign where ever he wants.
How is that stealing? - Cfser
Maybe stealing isnt the right word ,it just doesnt seem right to me . |

Everyone would love to see Bruke all worked up again like in the Penner offer sheet.
Maybe Bettman will let him fight next time. |

The other team is compensated, and they are able to match if they want to keep the player.
It's more honorable than taking a UFA from another team, and not giving them anything in return. |

Yeah, that’s almost exactly the same, except for a couple of very small differences. Kulemin is bigger. Stronger. More physical. More defensively responsible. Oh, and even with this brand new contract, has a cap hit that’s a mere ONE THIRD of Gomez’s. - prock

Don't get me wrong, I like Burke, I just (frank)in' hate how he continually paints himself into a corner with his bullsh!t statements, practices and "code of ethics" that NO OTHER GM seems to do, which ultimately costs the Leafs opportunity after opportunity after oppor-(frank)in'-tunity! |

100% agreed. Like when he whined about the media attention leading up to the deadline and opined about imposing his own earlier deadline. What kind of ridiculous BS is that? |
