The only positive I am seeing so far is that should the cap go down, at least Chicago has cap room to potentially pick up a dump player to help (think I am reading the propaganda too much when I am reaching for excuses to not be infuriated at the lack of improving this team). |

I'm going to guess conversation has degraded down to HockeyBuzz auto-corrected expletives.
I certainly reflects what the front office and coaching staff are. |

Carcillo already acting like an idiot and the season hasn't started. - fattybeef
Meltzer is the man. http://www.hockeybuzz.com...ngs-Doan-Carbomb/45/45723
Carcillo acted as if refs and not the blatant stick infractions themselves were the cause of the penalites. Carcillo is definitely a player with a target on his back from officials. He is one of those players who DOES get reputation penalties and rarely gets the benefit of any doubt. But that's only because he has never earned the benefit of any doubt, and yelling at the refs isn't about to make things better for him. It that instance, both penalty calls were legitimate. |

I'm looking forward to some continuity with the team. We've had so much turnover the past 2 summers it's nice to see most of the same team come back. 1-2 upgrades would have been better allowing the likes of Hayes and Olsen to develop another season in Rockford. But I agree, at least Stan has the flexibility to make a move if needed. But the question is will Stan actually make a move. |

I was thinking Bowman's replacement will have some room and flexibility to correct some of the moves Bowman and McD made. |

Should the cap go down, I'm sure all player contracts will decrease proportionally. |

Rocky's the only one that can't be fired. The rest can be.
If there are any John McDonough supporters out there, other than marketing department lurkers, sorry, everything that has come out of this guy's mouth this offseason does not make him look good. At all. - John Jaeckel
Who cares what comes out of his mouth? It's pr bs-whether you agree with him or not. The convention is for kids and diehards. I don't care if they tout Kyle beach, brandon saad or sergei krivofrickinkrasov. It's about generating publicity and creating a buzz. that's mcd's job. He's pretty good at it. Why hold him accountable for the decisions of Scotty bowman, Stan bowman, and Joel quenneville? Why hold him accountable for ANYTHING he says that's on-ice related? Why hold him accountable at all? |

And Rocky is the only one who can do the firing! At the risk of being redundant, this will either fester or be fixed at Rocky's pleasure.
I love that McD can't help but speak as is the way of a true narcissist. The more he does so the more his ignorance and role in the problems are revealed.
Reminds me of what my Pops used to tell me. Nobody will ever know how dumb you are unless you open your mouth and tell them! |

Because it's obvious that McD has to stick his d1ck in the middle of personnel decisions. That's why he's accountable.
McDonough will celebrate his five-year anniversary leading the team in November and has begun taking a more active role in hockey operations.
"I'm trying," McDonough said. "When I say an active role from a decision-making standpoint, the only role I play is by the time they have reached the decision I ask how they've arrived at it. What was the thought process behind it? I just have to make sure there's a process and a system involved."
McD has had his own "adviser" for on-ice personnel since he came on. He's been involved with decisions as to what players to put on this team. Something he doesn't have knowledge about. |
