IMO they have to trade Nash now and they got to realize that this isn't Giroux Stamkos Cindy or malkin type player. He is a good player but not on that level. Talking him into staying pretty much means they couldn't trade him for awhile. Reason being if he wants out again why would anyone offer even what they are now. Why they haven't fired Howson is crazy. |

I haven't commented on it yet but yea a few times I kind of smirked at this supposed text conversation...(that is what you refer to right?)...
I'm sure a lot of "credible sources" say "straight up"...unless they're reporting from the high school cafeteria...
Who knows though...it is just a text message...maybe even Burke via texts to Lombardi for Bernier's services says "Yo Deano, what up with that Bernsy kid? You gonna deal him or what, playa?" - Kesselmobile
Hope that Burke just stays away from this trade for Bernier. Keep Frattin and keep the draft pick. He won't be any better than Reimer or Scrivens. |

I'd move Kessel, even up for him, because I think that Nash would be better in the Carlyle system. |

You be patient. That's how you do good deals. Teams get desperate. - thomas81
Nobody should be desperate to acquire Nash at his cap hit. He could be a UFA and he would get less salary. Nobody should be giving up valuable assets for him. |

Why would Weber sign such a weak deal? That's not even more than what Suter makes. Nashville will match for sure.
EDIT: Sorry forgot to read the word "upwards". |

14 (frank)ing years. Have fun when that lockout kicks in for exactly this reason. |

Agreed. I will almost always sign with the Owners over the players. This case is no different. I think 7 years should be the longest length of any contract. And no more circumventing the cap. |

this is not the flyers fault weirdoh. they are doing what minnesota, chicago, vancouver and tampa have all done before the flyers. But Ed snider should now shut the (frank) up in the meetings becuase he has not a leg to stand on. |

how is this the players fault? the owners and gm's are the one offering these contracts. |

I'm not blaming that on the players. You're right in that it is the owners and gm's stupidity for offering that. I"m just saying, that's what I think should be changed. |

I'm usually with the players. Especially after the owners were given the tools they demanded. Now they are just (frank)ing themselves over again and again. Be interesting to see how these gigantic (frank)ing deals sit come the nitty gritty of the cba |

And the only people to actually suffer out of this will be the fans...again. I know it won't be Parise who'll get something like 20 million in a calendar year no matter if there's a lock out or not. |
