More likely, you sell the team to Quebec. - dilbert719
For real, the fans in Nashville are good but I would be irate as a season ticket holder this summer. |

So, they've effectively given up on the return of Pronger, I would guess. - tangent_man
It's the best thing for Pronger. He's got nothing left to prove and it's just not worth risking the rest of his life at this point. Pronger and Weber on the point would be disgusting though. |

Would Weber get signing bonus money regardless if there is a lockout or not? Could that sway Nashville into declining to match? One thing's certain. Homer has huge balls |

Yes. Weber will get signing bonus money if there is a lockout. I imagine that he talked to Parise and/or Suter, and decided that he needed to cash in now before the new CBA limits deals |

Thanks. That's what I thought. Now I'm trying to think about why Homer chose this path. Perhaps he got wind that either Nyr/Sj/Det would be offering better packages in a trade. I don't know. Can't sleep though. |

It's possible, if only because they still have to re-sign Voracek or replace him if he signs an offer sheet elsewhere on his own. |

Poile is probably trying to get Checkie's agent on the phone right now. |

If Weber is a flyer next season, I could live without either or, but considering how valuable Coburn has been for us and that he just signed an extension, I'd rather part with Mez. |

I wonder if Homer already has a side deal worked out with Poile in the event they don't match. I mean this looks like a buddy (frank) job on the outside but none of us know what those two are saying on the Phone. I mean if we get Weber Mezaros does become expendable. SO maybe send him and recoup a draft pick, something along those lines. It's not like we are throwing away a bag of hockey pucks collecting dust in the old Coliseum practice center.
Edit: see ya all tomorrow this gon b good |

It's possible. When the Flyers signed Chris Gratton, they ended up trading Renberg and Dykhuis for the picks. That worked out, as the 2 of those were Gagne and Williams |

Wow. Just got my power back on after a bad storm, fire up the laptop and find out Weber signed an offer sheet with the Flyers. That should make for an interesting 7 days... |

I hope Nashville makes their decision quickly. |
