obligatory tubing story:

went tubing when i was 15. my goalie partner at the time ended up running into this kid and fractured his femur. he probably wouldve had a shot at the nhl but he lost his skating stride after the accident and now he's an overager in the Q, might get a shot in the AHL. His two younger brothers are top NHL prospects tho. TUBING RUINS LIVES VAG. IT RUINS DREAMS.

i bet, a friend of mine broke both of his skiing, i should mention it was at the same time.

I never skied a black diamond run again.

He got some air over a mogul and didn't realize it was the first set of multiple moguls and snap crackle pop, legs were every where.

I broke my ankle once doing a super crazy wrestling move and that sucked, couldn't imagine a femur.

we were in a little trail and I turned a corner and some guy was just standing there. I moved to avoid him, hit an ice patch and slammed into a tree or rock or whatever the (frank).


since I was 12 and still growing the docs had to put me in traction for 6 weeks to make sure one leg didn't outgrow the other.

basically spent 6 weeks lying on my back in the hospital with a screw through my knee pulling my leg up.

this was followed by 6 more weeks at home in a cast then went from the toes of my left leg to the middle of my chest then down to the knee of my right leg.

had to make sure my hips didn't move since the fracture was inches away from it.

thankfully my brother hooked up the atari in my room and I mastered pitfall although to this day its theme music makes me relive the horrors.

then a few months on crutches and I was set.

it sucked.
