The US economy is starting to recover. traditionally that weakens the Canadian dollar but strengthens the economy overall. Its a small miracle you grew economically each year during the biggest downturn of the US economy (your biggest trade partner) in almost 85 years.

I remember when I was a kid growing up in a very touristy place and the greenback was like 30% stronger then the Loonie, I had new American friends every summer that would vacation with their families. I even felt some boobs one summer when I was 14. It was pretty cool. She was from a small town in Vermont and wrote to me during the school year. We swam and had bon fires everyday. Good summer.

i never knew anything about other countries dollars being stronger or weaker than another's when i was a kid so i never thought about it. i don't know why. maybe cause i don't think my family had a lot of dollars growing up but i never thought about that until they taught us about it in school.

I used to think the US dollar was worth more than the Canadian one because it was older, and currency appreciated in value with age like booze or property. And that was also why the British Pound was worth so much because England is old as (frank)!

Basically my auto renewel was in november. Sent an email that it went through. I never paid any attention. They only actually tried to take the money yesterday. I had since cancelled the card.
