Unless you're using it, turn off Bluetooth.

Dim your screen to about 1/2 - it's usually all you need.

Limit the number of apps that can use location services, you'd be surprised at the number of things that default to using them.

Don't keep a bunch of apps running in the background all the time. Close them out completely.

It's all due to an entity known as the CRTC here mainly, which is essentially a government agency that babysits ALL media, including mobile phones and their bandwidths. The big three carriers here (Bell, Telus, Rogers) have lobby groups that essentially keep the CRTC permanently bent over and dry and whenever any potnetial competition comes in they lose their (frank)ing minds. I am hoping and praying Verizon may still possibly come in and undercut the poop out of them and drive them all out of business.

I love Canada but I hate it sometimes.
