what about getting some service for 34.95 a month and then just canceling it? i can't imagine going somewhere to get a simcard where i don't speak the language and somehow figuring out what the hell to do

which country?

my multiple european experiences lead me to believe that nobody working in cell phone places speak the local language either so you should be fine.

Go there and then get a sim card. Very easy.

Sim card is international.

They also have the lowest prices compared to N.A.

Maybe you shouldn't own a tablet.

but ok... you would take the sim card and insert it in the sim slot.

For wireless, you simply open the wireless panel and select your wi-fi and enter pwd if needed.

And yes like DsTee99999 says... they also speak english over there... even american !
