JVR is a 2nd.... is either Kulemin or Mac for sure 2nd liners? I think they are more of a 3rd line player.

If we can get a #1 center some how, and upgrade our 2nd line center.... then our forwards will look pretty good.

- cor99

no need, grabovski is a perfect 2nd line centre.

1 more year in the AHL i guess.
- cor99

seriously? would you disrupt your team to give this guy a year in the NHL?

come on hasek.. just give it up.. there are kids in this league less than half his age...

Maybe a #1 C isn't available right now? Ryan apparently is.

Who knows about a #1 tender... seems to be Luongo or bust. Leafs have enough assets to bring in Luongo at a reasonable price and Ryan.

- Mr_Smokey

ryan will cost a ton.... grabovski, 1st, prospect.
it just creates new holes

No, but why have Enroth play 12 to 15 games, when we can play 65 in the AHL.

Question is why trust a 47 year old to play 12 to 15 games

You wouldn't trade grabo and some unknowns for Ryan becuase it would create a whole on the 2nd line?

You can find 2nd line centers everywhere but a true number 1 is the rariety

But it doens't matter as the ducks wouldn't want Grabo anyways.

Why does everyone assume that golden 1st round pick must be included in any deal for a player.

I would think they would want some wingers and D

And a quite proficient one at that. Decent +/- 50pts 20+goals per year and he plays like he thinks he's 6'-3" 230lbs.

Yeah man. My drum teacher used to play with Toronto AND Lee Aaron. He's not performing with Lee as far as I'm aware that weekend, but he's back together with Holly Woods and Toronto.

because they can get it

someone will offer to include one and then it will be an expected part of the deal

Neither would I, He will probably get a tryout with buffalo or detroit, and then call it a career

true.. number 1 centres are tough to find..

question tho...

is that your argument as to why the leafs should trade for ryan?

thats no bozak, no connolly, no lombardi

somethings gotta give.

- big_dion

what's gotta give should be pretty clear...

1) if JVR experiment at center fails - Bozak goes back into the #1C slot - not ideal but he is the best TML has.

2) Connolly - give away
3) Lombardi - give away or Marlies

Neither Connolly nor Lombardi can play any form of physical role - and neither if particularly good in the face off spot.
