By the way, if the Devils get Semin, I doubt he plays on Kovalchuk's line. I think the Devils would spread the two out.

I think they would pair Semin with Kovalchuk, just because Kovy has been itching for a winger he really meshes with since coming to NJ even him and Parise I feel never really had much chemistry. They would have to try it since they are friends and have played well together in the past. . I think the Devils really need to step up their effort in obtaining him wether it be more money or a lengthier deal the fact of the matter is if he signs somewhere else we aren't replacing Parises scoring on the Free Agent market after that. Which would mean we would have to make a trade and anyone of signifcance is going to cost us a top 6 forward and makes it not worth it on top of the loss of Parise,Poni and possibly Sykora. If we don't get Semin we are looking at a re build and will be a few more years till we get a cup. At that point gut the roster for Nash, build up around him and Kovalchuk.

LoL I went overboard about trading for Nash I was just getting mad at the end of the post because I was realizing we are actually pretty screwed if we can't land Semin and probably wont Pittsburgh seems likley , the rest of FA doesn't have anything worth chasing besides Doan but he wont come to NJ, we don't have anything to trade to get anything of real significance, we will probably move a D for some picks or something but other than that, it isn't worth moving one of our forwards.

Tedenby should be able to contribute something, not hoping for 20g 20a season, but a modest 5g 10a season. Our fourth line is noticeably better than Boulton-Mills-Janssen, even with Barch there.

Think the Devils are in on him. They still have Kovalchuk, who would be pretty appealing to him, I would think. Wouldn't quite count out the Devils, although like I said before, I don't think we'd be able to or would want to give what he is asking.
