I'm not his biggest fan.

anyway point is, from what i've read, that no one company can own 3 English radio stations in any city in Canada. Bell recently acquired Astral Media, which owns CHOM, Virgin and some other station, maybe Q92 or some poop. they petitioned the CRTC to waive the rule and keep TSN990 going, but they were rejected. this is not something Bell wants to do. the whole idea of TSN radio is streamlining content. for RDS they're going to need 24 hours of original content per day. maybe their advertising revenues will go up, but it will cost much, much more to run the station, i think.

According to a few lunatics on Habs boards, we should give him a 20M, 4 years contract.

I still don't completely understand the relationship between RDS and TSN... you would think they would cooperate a bit more since they have the same parent company but they are so completely separate...

I agree with you though it was easy for TSN to take advantage of being connected to guys like Dreger or McKenzie (although they had them on before they became TSN did they?).

I don't really care what language I hear it in I just hope RDS 990 doesn't recycle the same clowns they have on their TV network and it doesn't become 24hours of antichambre.

I'm pretty sure there are other effects... I know that they affect the poop out of birds and they absorb a very significant amount of wind (the large farms) so it changes erosion patterns and poop like that...

effects on health... it's a (frank)ing thing turning.

Might be what it takes to bring him here though......

Not sure we want that but it's realistic.

I think he will sign a 1 year deal in PHX and if the sale goes through, he signs an extension.

Could be..... but considering his place in a very weak UFA year.... I think he would never get as much as he would this year.

i think it's an image thing for the NHL. they were run out of a major (albeit poopt for sports) market last year. being run out of another one would look very bad.

And the only plan they have right now is selling the team to a guy that doesn't have the money to buy it at an incredibly low price while knowing he will lose money in at the very least the next couple of years after buying the franchise.

This

cannot

fail.

I just can't believe the owners are ok with funding this year after year.

I think they liked it when it was owned by the trucking guy becasue he'd take a hit and it would decrease revenues for the entire league on his back alone but how can they just keep pumping money into it? and after a while the integrity of the league has to start being called into question when they own and operate a franchise for so long

green energy doesn't exists.

to all those idiots in the United States that think they are green with their (frank)ing Prius, well, that car is made in Japan, was brought in to the USA by boat, which burn pooploads of fuel oil (mazout).

Plus, electricity in most areas in the us mainly comes from Nuclear, or coal power plants...so yeah...green energy my ass.

I doubt they'll do that really.

Gros JiCé will probably leave TVA Sports for RDS 990
