So, we have 15 NHL forwards on the active roster right now,

Leblanc can start in the minors,
so who else will be sent down?

They wouldn't have to trade any of them. If Galchenyuk does make the roster he would most likely be on the 4th line anyhow. Desharnais, Plekanec, Eller and Galchenyuk. Not a bad grouping of centreman in my opinion.(No I didn't forget Gomez, I just happen to think he will be plying his trade in Hamilton by the end of October at the latest!)

If they're gonna play him on the 4th, might as well send him back to junior don't you think?

Are you counting Weber in those 15?

Who cares how he got it.....he got it. So he doesn't hit, he doesn't fight, he still scores 27 goals a year. That would have put him on pace with guys like Vanek, Giroux, and a whole bunch more around 40th overall in the league.

He plays well defensively, and he scores 27 a year.......enough said.

So...Bourque > Vanek and Giroux?

I think our 3rd and 4th lines have 3 too many forwards as it is right now, without wasting a year of his ELC on the bottom 2 lines.

EE, I expect Galchenyuk to play in Sarnia next season.
But what if he is ready and they decide to keep him??
Which center do they trade DD, Plek or Eller?

- fidopro

Forgot about Leblanc, Nokeleinen, Gomez.

Plek is best 2 way forward
DD needs a chance to prove he can do it another year
Leclanc is pride of Quebec
Nokeleinen wins faceoffs
Eller "4 goals, one game"
Gomez minor, or will play so the fans can blame him for everyones failures

depends on how much you think the player will learn and develop against lesser competition. but given Galchenyuk's injury, he should go back to junior.

Isn't it obvious already Eller is much better playing center?

This.

No point in wasting a year on his entry level anyway.
