Koivu? Plekanec?

- DoubleDown

Martin Rucinsky - Richard Zednik - Craig Darby
Chad Kilger - Jan Bulis - Dainius Zubrus
Jim Campbell - Trevor Linden - Benoit Brunet
Sergei Zholtok

You know you want it.

So does that mean Weber plays center ?
- WaterBoy

Looking like it. They might have to trade for that midget that leads the league in PIM every year becuase he won like 30 out of 45 faceoffs last year.

How many Montreal centers have had first line minutes this century?

Koivu, Plekanec,

And they did it with partial first line calibre wingers.

- Oilhab

you're right. those 2 juggernauts just blocked the paths of all those point-producing centres who came through the system.

Perreault had 56 pts.

EDIT, well this century it would only be DD. As Pleks last 60+ season was in 2009-2010

the only way to see if eller is as good or better than desharnais is to put eller on the pacioretty/cole line and desharnais with moen and prust.
- rob121

It's not the way it works in sports. You don't give a guy's winger just to check things.

Eller will have to work hard, wait for his chance (injury or lack of production by DD)

If you just shuffle around vets for younger player eventually poop is going to hit the fan in the locker room.

More like, every year for the last 12 the habs can only muster maybe one good line, Most of those years Koivu was the center the others were Plekanec and this year DD.

I don't know how you expect other centers to put up 60 points with the slugs we have had on the bottom 3 lines this century.

Saku was the only center we had that could put up points with no wingers.

I never implied any of the guys on that lineup had scored 60 pts, i was simply digging up our start of the century lineup because his 60pts center thingy made me look for it.
