do u think he should not go back to junior after only 2 reg season games this past season? Also play in WJHC is a good experience..

We are sucking this season anyways and won't make playoffs..

- BingoLady

YES! i think he should go back to the juniors, 100%. I also think that if he's a better
at center then the habs should put him there.

What i've been saying is that IF he makes the team next year, the most logical move would be to put him on Eller's wing.

Please provide evidence that he's a winger.

TSN actually says he can play wing..

His Belarusian-born father played pro hockey for 24 years on 18 different teams and in more than a dozen leagues, so Milwaukee-born son Alex has been well travelled. Has missed the entire OHL season with a torn ACL he suffered during an OHL exhibition game in mid-September. He had scouts drooling last season with 83 points as an OHL rookie at 16. Strengths: A big, power-forward type winger with soft hands who is good along the wall, has soft hands and can shoot the puck. Weaknesses: He has missed his entire draft year with a knee injury, so there has been a decided lack of exposure. Teams may be concerned with how he bounces back from the injury. NHL upside: has the size and skill to be a top two centre if he recovers fully from missing an entire season.

it's true... so fixated on Galchenyuk being the big center that they can't see he's also a winger.
- PRICEless

The Habs said they are happy to draft that big talented centre. A lot of things can happen but the majority just feels it would be the right thing to have him in his more natural position. It's not being tunnel-visioned.

His wingers were bigger than him, hence why he got all those free points.

Allstar - Howgasm

Over the weekend, Harper, 19, added a history-making plank to his resume: He became only the third teenager to be selected to the All-Star Game, following pitchers Bob Feller in 1938 and Dwight Gooden in 1984, thus making Harper is the youngest position player ever in the Midsummer Classic.

Like all of you guys i've read tons of reports on the kid and several of them mentioned that he was able to play on the wing just as well as at center.

When comes the time for him to be MTL's 1st line center, yes.

That time would'nt be next year if he made the team though.

I'M GLAD WE ALL AGREE!

Sean Couturier miraculously made the Flyers team last year and they kept him as a centre. A lot of people don't see the #1 centre potential in Eller and you should just try to deal with different opinions than yours once in a while.
- Le_Moderateur

Couturier was better than Galchenyuk defensively though. So he could still play 18+ minutes with the 5on5 time and the 1st PK unit time.

Galchenyuk, if he makes the team, will be strictly used on an offensive role.
We damn hope they'd use him on the PP, but he would not have as much icetime as you would like him to.

Let him destroy the OHL.

Since the habs suck at faceoffs, they should just play with 12 wingers.

Collberg won't be ready.

I'd rather trade DD, but Plek has better value.

Ideally :

Pac - Gal - Cole
Gallagher - Plek - Gio (not sure about those midgets)

- hon_hon_hon

I think Collberg will come for a year in the CHL in 2013-2014.
