When you're good at so few things as I am you really have to grab the opportunities when they come.

- Oilhab

Not informed enough to know for sure but wouldnt someone who makes over 200k a year be able to take an early (not 46y.o early) retirement? Say in his 50s?

Yes.

My strategy... eat them all quickly.. then die painfully.

Howard will be proud once I accomplish it all.

the walleye assassin can catch walleye in a street puddle!

also, they're plentiful in any of the reservoirs a few hours north. Gouin, Cabonga, DOzois... all nice ones but you can catch them in Lac-des deux montagnes as well... just wear gloves and don't eat them.

These guys make pooploads of money man. The head honchos at Blizzard for example make salaries well into the 6 number figures. Even the bottom work horse type of guys make decent salaries (usually around 80-100k). Unless well paid means millions to you, then i'd say that these guys are indeed well paid.

No they don't

Basic C++ programmers at Blizzard make 120k-140k US per year. That's an official number.

Blizzard has the luxury to have the very best working for them and pays them accordingly.

I'm not surprised by theses numbers.

Aye, totally agreed. That's why i intitially went with the 80-100k figure, it's more representative than the salaries of Blizzard employees.

All depends on your life style i guess and how long you plan on living after wards, lets say you need 50 grand to live off of after you retire, and you retire at 50 you need 1.5 mil in savings to last you till you are 80.

1M at 5% gives you 50k a year and you don't even touch the capital.
