I would like to see Nash paired with Giroux over anyone else discussed here (Parise, Ryan, Semin, Doan). Hartnell - G - Nash would be awesome to watch every shift.

But you are right..... I am not willing to pay the price Columbus is asking. It's not the salary.... it's the assets.

yes, the package they are trying to get almost seems like they are not serious, just hoping someone will bite & agree to too much, but I think his cap number is more in line now, after the free agent market increase this summer, plus, he's signed for what 6 years?

yes he does these things, but often enough the play is going back the other way with the puck going into the net, while he gives a half-a$$ effort on the back-check. That poop gets you killed in the playoffs.

Howson seems hellbent on getting the upper hand on a Nash deal after the Carter blunder.

Do people that complain about Briere not watch the playoffs or something? Or do they just blame him for throwing the team on his back and getting us a later pick?
- hereticpride

No he's a tremendous $$$ player when it counts, but when you play a tight defensive team, the weakness's tend to show on the defensive side

Halpern to Rangers

For real? Damn, was hoping the Flyers would grab him. Would have been a nice 4th line center.

Defense and Goaltending win in the playoffs. The games become much tighter and the teams are much better.

This past year's playoffs should have taught us that, except for the fact I don't think Brodeur was a better goalie in the two series before the cup. His team helped him out big time. If the Flyers can help out i.e play defensively like that they could do wonders for Bryzgalov.

I thought Brodeur played well in the NYR series but against the Flyers he didnt have to do much as he spent most of his time tanning.

not with the system we play, that would be tough attacking is our style, we could use a modifier or a system tweak

adapting and adjusting happen all the time in sports. When coaches or players get too stubborn they often run into trouble.

yes they do, as well as the goalie, (sometimes if warranted), Briere's lack of D, acquiring Nash, or Ryan, etc........
