Thank you...I knew if anyone had a clue, you would be one of them.

I'm too tired to care at this point, long day, on why I even started that because I'm too tired to finish it.

I figured one thing could be how knucklehead said something in jest, but we have been going back & forth over a couple pages rather then laugh it off... a'la Jimmy saying something in jest & tommy removing spider from the mortal coil.

They'd still be the same team. Same players. It would suck immensely, but......just ftr...I don't want it to happen.
- potvin05

Granted, but in 3-5 short years, those players would roll over & be gone.. players like Doan that stick with a team after a move are RARE!

Not saying this is exactly true, but a big reason why I like you.

as classic as that movie is, Anthony's line is my favorite in the whole movie....which is saying something.

I just want to win....I'm sick of waiting and losing. You all understand. Tasting the early 80s and being a little too young to really grasp how great it was still kills me.

How could you guys bash Wang. He saved the isles or they would have been long gone had he not. He spent tons of money under mibury and what did that get us. Nothing.

Now we are rebuilding and you guys begging him to sell team. He sells his team and you can kiss the isles good bye.

Wang loves the isles. All knock I have on him is he is too involved.

One of my 5 fav movies of all time.. ALOT of lines to love...
"Paulie may have moved slow, but it was only because Paulie didn't have to move for anybody. "

"What the f$ck you looking at? Come on. Make that coffee to go. Let's go.
What the f$ck are you doing? It's a joke! A joke! Put the fu$king pot down!"

I laugh every damn time

Wang bought the team, hired one of the biggest idiots to ever grace the sport (who last year thought Karlsson was the leading candidate for the Calder Award) and kept him for a decade that destroyed a top franchise.

When you as an owner cannot see when there is a problem in your company and you allow the problem to inflict so much damage and when that person finally see's it and resigns.... that my friend is a bad owner.

And what's he do now, keeps his wallet closed and expects the government and tax payers to make up for his mistakes... News flash, if Charles wouldn't have (frank)ed this team up so bad before, maybe someone would have some faith in his decision making abilities and work with him.

Ok so he made huge mistake hiring and keeping mibury too long. The major damage was done before mibury and Wang. And that was under maloney.

That said you can't keep bashing Wang or snow for what they have one last 4 years.

In fact curious to how you would feel if you had lost millions and had o deal ith Kate Murray and that better li organization.

When is all comes together and we more than some easy 8th seed matchup. We'll all being his praises.

Another few months and we'll be talking hockey again.

Isles need a real coach. Not a new owner.

For all of you who like to beat up Wang, I'll repeat this again, slowly: THIS FRANCHISE HAS NEEDED A NEW BUILDING FOR NEARLY 25 YEARS. TWENTY FIVE YEARS....since before Charles Wang had any money to do anything about it, at all. In fact, he is the ONLY one, to this day, who has agreed in anyway to do ANYTHING about the arena, at all. The rest simply wanted it built for them, on the taxpayer's dime. Here's another slow one for you: NO ONE IS GOING TO BUILD AN ARENA UNLESS THERE IS SOMETHING ELSE IN IT FOR THEM. NO ONE....there's a reason WHY people who have money HAVE money. It's because they don't do stupid things with it that drain their portfolios. Wang has lost enough money on this team, he doesn't need to take another bath in red ink on an arena with no other source of income, just so you can be happy.

This nonsense that "everything can be done by private investors, without the aid of the government" is a fantasy we've held in this country for about 30 years now, and you can see the wonders it has done for our economy....but I digress...in any case, if you don't let a private investor make enough money to make building an arena worth it, they are not going to build and run an arena without taxpayer money. It simply isn't going to happen. To kill Charles Wang over that is to not grasp the idea of private enterprise, and how it works. The overpaid citizens of Garden City do not want what it will take for the arena to be worth Wang's dime and time, so it is what it is....Brooklyn, here we come...

Which will be another $10M he doesn't earn....I'll pass....

PS....if he jumps at our "offer", instead of signing with the Penguins, and the chance to play with Crosby, for $500K less, that'll tell you all you need to know about HIM.

No, Milbury did the major damage, on two consecutive draft days in 2000 and 2001. THAT was the major damage that destroyed our chances of having a new building a LONG time ago. Hempstead would have looked foolish telling a successful team that was again the pride of Long Island to f*ck off. Milbury destroyed that chance, period.

All you had to hear was his ex teamates calling him out. When do you ever hear a player call out another player. It doesnt happen that often, so that should tell you something. The last thing this team needs is a cancer in the lockeroom

I'm not sure how anyone can defend Wang on the arena situation. Is it 100% his fault ? Of course not but he bought a professional hockey team where he was a tenant and had no control of the land. Its his responsibility above all else to secure a future home for the islanders above all else and he has failed miserably. The lighthouse project was a great in my opinion and I blame Kate Murray and the t.o.h for not sitting down with Wang and coming to a compromise. I still ask everyone this, the t.o.h. offered a 75% scaled down version of the lighthouse project. Where is Wang going to get a better deal ?

Remember Wang owns the Marriott, the sound tigers, the Bridgeport bluefish, controls all the concerts and receives revenue from them now, he owns the company that created islanders tv which every NHL team and ahl team now has. The idea he is losing 20mill a year is laughable. If we had a winning team, he would be closer to breaking even. Forbes magazine said he is losing 8 mill a year on NYI alone. Factor in his sports ventures he has purchased since owning the team and he is close to even.

His silence with the fans, the unwillingness to do simple hockey moves like hiring a real coach , buying out DP, firing his development coaches and assistant gm's and not spending an extra $5 mill a year on a semin or even $4 mill on parenteau who was freaking very good for you tells me all I need to know. That winning isn't a priority and he is setting this team up to be sold to the highest bidder unless someone decides they want to spend $500 mill on an arena.

Wang should sell now so fans know this teams fate. It's not fair anymore

This isnt about being fair, the guy bucked up and bought the team. Its his to do whatever he chooses.

Semin and Parenteau arent winners.........i'll pass on both.
