Doan Deal?
June 27, 2012 - 11:59 AM ET
I'm not going to lie about it. I'm an unabashed Shane Doan fan. Always have been. Always will be. The guy is the embodiment of all the things you want to see in a great hockey player: he plays an honest game, works his ass off is practice and in games, is a leader of men, is as tough as leather, wil...
At least change the title if you're going to put the exact same thing. - AdamFrench
Then he said Shane Doan is set to become a free agent July 1st since he copied the entire blog.

I had the same thing. Makes a lot of sense if Doan comes to LA.
Definitely a chance to repeat. - LA_Kings6720
Sorry to break up your dream party, but he will resign with Phoenix. |

That is where I expect him to end up if he leaves the desert. |

Probably. But that is not a wise choice. PHX isnt winning the Cup and neither is SJ.
EDIT: my dream LA team is with Carter and Richards |

Like everyone else, I'd love to get Doan...
I just can't see him coming here
Red Wings haven't been mentioned yet
Also Vancouver or the Rangers would be a good landing spot for him |

The best available move we can probably realistically make was mentioned in another blog: sign Jason Arnott. Solid veteran leader and fills a position we are very thin at. Plus we don't have to give up anyone off the roster to get him. |

Nice to see we resigned Mancari but damn how many third and fourth liners do we need here ?Come on Darcy . |

....I share the same opinions of others on here. I don't believe we're done any move will likely be under the radar. Just too many dmen here and the forwards just don't appear to be a finished product and the kind of 12 guys that get you to the playoffs. I'm sure like us, management doesn't believe our 12 forwards are good/ skilled enough right now......I hope anyways.....my two cents |

Arnott would come cheap. It would give us Ennis, Hodge and Arnott up the middle and Grigs or Ott could fill in if there is an injury.

Mancari won't see NHL ice this year. Porter might make it as a 4th line center.

It's actually such a no-brainer move that it makes me wonder if maybe Darcy is still trying to trade for a #1C. |

While I want more......Id be content going into the season this year with Hodgson, Ennis, Arnott. I think Arnott is a perfect stop gap, and a pro would could do a world of good and provide a wealth of knowledge for the kids. |

The roster needs some adjustments. A trade will happen. Some teams need to get to the floor. I would look at those teams for a trade partner. |
