What does MacDonalds 2010-2011 stats have to do with? Do you think Carle got his contract because of how he played in 2010 2011? You aren't very good at this. Your attempt at humor is in no way funny, to anyone but you btw. Your posts are almost as embarrassing as watching DP flop around the net on his back.

I've got to get over there to watch a few games. You definitely have a better look at what's coming through which is pretty cool.

I found this quote hilarious coming from a Leaf fan. Yes, I'm aware it was based on our blogger and no, I'm not defending her. I don't feel the need to bash her but I also don't see anyone else stepping up, so I don't comment.

maybe that quote can be the new Leafs Gatorade commercial slogan

FEEL THE SHAME!

They did pretty good last year so I hope they build on it and keep getting better. I was interested about Nelson. Like to def get to a game and see him play in person. Are you saying Nilsson is a freak because of his size or his play?

I was thinking same exact thing. Everyone laughed at dp contract but let's see if Crosby or Parise get hurt. Then what will people say
- Spartiarti

As the koolaide guy I hate to take the other side of these arguments (DP again... really??!!), BUT ... the difference is DP was given 4.5 a year. That is his cap hit and what he got... so essentially they actually thought he was going to be worth 4.5 mill a year for 15 years. These other contracts you mention are mainly extended b/c they are hugely front end loaded and by extending them you ease the cap hit. So if you give a guy 15 mill up front.. then by the 13th year they are making 4 mill... your avg and cap hit are much lower.

So they are giving them 13 year contracts for cap reasons.. not b/c the actually think in 2024 they are worth 7.5 mill.

What it would take to get him... Strome, deHaan, etc... Trading away 3 or more key prospects is just not a price we can afford.

Depending on the price... I would make the move for Bobby Ry. He instantly adds a lot to this club (credibility included). I wrote what I thought Ducks would be asking Wed and got a lot of sht for it.... I wasn't saying that is what I would be willing to give up... but.. I would give up a lot to get him.

Dehaan, Nino, 1st round pick in 2013.... done. I would like to hold onto Strome if possible..

The Teams Crobsy and Parise play for have purchased insurance, in case they get hurt and can't play. To prevent disaster...

no.. poulin was good but he has flaws that he needs to correct. his rebound control can be shaky and he doesn't catch the puck well. with that being said if both develop and meet their full potential i see poulin as a good nhl goalie maybe a starter definetly a backup. I fully believe that Anders' top end is a franchise all star goalie.

Hit it right on the head there. The guy is a good player but I think that alone may be more important?

How great is it that we're about to start another season with Rick Dipietro getting the nod as one of our two goalies.

Wow. That's quite a stement. I really have to get there to watch a game. Was going to last year and didn't get around to it. I definitely will this year. Depending on who makes the Isles this year I think you are right. They should have enough of an influx of talent this year to be a substantially better team.
