Hockeyy Insiderr @HockeyyInsiderr
#Pens disgruntles with Parise breaking agreement. Shero VERY mad. Also losing Sullivan to #Coyotes. PIT needs to reevaluate options.
Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
@HockeyyInsiderr. I respond one time. This is pure nonsense according to Shero. Did not happen.
Keep digging Insiderr....

I saw that..
Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun
So for Suter, it came down to Nashville, Detroit and Minnesota
Minnesota Wild @mnwild
Parise: "When it came down to it, it came to between New Jersey and Minnesota."
Where's the Insiderr now?
Those guys didn't want to play for the Penguins from day one... time to change our strategy atracting players....no more waitng games |

rick nash approved pitt for his list of teams...i know some may not want him, but hes never had a good center in columbus. only thing is columbus would be asking way too much - drummer829
Howson is dumb. Maybe Shero can fleece him. However, we don't have the goods to acquire Nash. |

Everything happens for a reason the last time we got Hossa'd. We won the cup. No worries. Just glad to move on with this offseason. |

no we definitely do not. although depending on if there is legitimacy to some of the offers the ducks were given for ryan, we could compete with that |

Anytime you can turn a Flyer into a Pens fan....Bobby Ryan would be great but realistically, I don't know..
We are a worst team than before right now...
Hope Despres, Tangradi are whooping their asses on workouts...looks like we'll need them if we don't get anyon else |

Jim Matheson @NHLbyMatty
Wild loaded at forward but defence even with Suter addition and trade last February for Gilbert sketchy. Would they deal Setoguchi for a D?
Pens Inside Scoop @PensInsideScoop
Shero on Nash/Ryan: They're under contracts. But if there's a trade that makes sense for us, never know what's going to come your way -MC

#Pens GM Shero on a top-6 winger: If we don't fill that hole via trade or free agency, someone's going to have an opportunity to step up -MC
Tang-ready time....hope he gets a shot if we can't find a better replacement |

The penguins are NOT worse now. With a healthy Sid playing all year and time to gel properly on the PP, we are much better I believe. Losing ZM may look bad at first, but him with Martin never worked out well. I think Martin will benefit from playing with a different partner. Look for Nisk to have a good year again, as well, they need to really begin to test guys like Despres and Tangradi. Ive said for a long time that Tangradi if he can get going could be the kinda player that could flourish with Sid.
As a long shot, I really am not as againt Semin for ONE year as I was before. Malkin could really reign him in I believe. If that does happen they could play with the idea of moving Neal up with Sid and Semin with Geno. For a one year experiment, I do not see the downside honestly. He can be traded at the deadline if its that bad. But the upside, is another very very good sniper on WING, something the pens really need! |

to me, the dropoff from staal to sutter (nice player but not staal) still factors in on the team not being as good as a whole. and sullivan leaving sucks as well. not a stud, but another nice little winger that was underappreciated for what he did last year |

Both Semin and Neal are big shot kinda players...I think having Sid dishing to Neal and Geno dishing to Semin would spread things out a little bit better. That is just me.

But we never had Sid for most of the year. He came back with like 14 games left in the year, and played on the fourth line for some of that. Having him there for the full year to really assess the talent and distribute the players on lines properly counts for a lot. Chemistry can not be taken lightly, esp in the playoffs. |

Shame on me, I fell victim to hockeyy insiderr, now let us never speak of him again
Semin should be an option regardless of his past... Too skilled just to ignore considering crosby has no wingers if we keep malkin line intact |

Except the guy you're talking about took a stupid verbal shot at the guy you're trying to please. Sid isn't going to like it, but hunker down 'til the trade deadline and go hard after iggy. Iggy wold be the perfect short term fix and fills several holes.
Little sad about Parise, but relieved just the same. 1st half of that contract would have been fun. Second half....prob not so much.

The Pens are not much better now then they were at the end of the playoffs but the sky isn't falling because they didn't get Parise either. |

Time to profess my ignorance here, but can teams trade RFA rights after July 1? There's still a few decent unsigned RFAs out there like Oshie and Versteeg. Not sue if we have anything STL would want, though. |
