I think if Parise chooses Minny, a lot of people saw it coming, but if Suter goes to minny... Why!? Detroit is a crappy place but still a hell of a team. - Magicmanmalkin
Detroit isn't that bad. Not like the players live in the city. |

For trade I meant.. - kfinl170
Only winger off the top of my head who might be on the trading block are leino, Iginla, and Horton. |

I think it's tough to say, I mean everyone knew the potential of Neal on the stars, but I don't remember his name ever coming up in talks of him with the pens. I have a feeling Shero will do the same thing and trade for someone who we didn't expect but really like |

I know some people who live 30 mins away and say its gorgeous. But the red wings
Are asking suter to pretty much be their next lidstrom, how can you pass on that offer? |

Yeah I hated my suggestion 2 seconds after posting it. They will need to get a little creative I think. But in no way are we in bad shape with Sid, Geno, and Neal leading the way. - kfinl170
I would beg Selanne and Doan to consider Pens.
Trade options that I would consider with Sid that wouldn't break the bank like- Nash, Ignila, Ryan.
1. Michael Cammalleri CGY
2. Ryan Malone?
3. Andrew Ladd
4. Nikolai Kulemin

Easily...All that pressure. So if you don't play up to lindstrom standards people will be very upset. |

If Parise signs with Minnesota then so be it. I'm not going to fault him for that. Maybe he can turn that franchise around. It won't be easy and obviously they aren't in the successful position that Pittsburgh is in but rather see him there than in NJ or Philly. My only problem is that he took this long to decide.
Shero has backup plans for sure. |

I've always been a Rene borque fan. I his size and skill is like Neal's, and could do awesome with crosby |

I'm not sure which is worse - Detroit or New Orleans. Both are cess pools.

If Parise falls through I wonder if RS takes this opportunity to lock up Geno for life with a deal structured the way he wants it before the new CBA kicks in...
He might not have the same options next year. |

I'm not excited about Cammalleri's six million price tag. That is like 2.5 too much
Pass on Malone.

I don't think he can do that. Geno still has 2 years remaining on his current deal and you can't sign an extension with more than 1 year left on your contract. |

He cant sign a new deal with Geno till July 1 2013 so we would have to lose the season for this to be possible |

It's straight forward with Selanne, Ducks or retirement. |

Hearing from a couple of agents both players will end up in minny. We will see!!

Well.....thanks for wasting our time.....guy chose the money instead of playoffs and cups. (even though I think Minny will be a playoff contender) |

Since Suter and Parise have likely decided to take there talents to minnesota.
We may have one blessing from this Sid took less money so we could sign Parise. And instead of over paying him big time this is going to give RS so much more flexibility.
I do believe the Pens were Parise's choice and the whole family thing in Minnesota talked him out of it. |

I agree on that. What player doesn't want to be on a winning team |

That's what is so shocking to me about this. Not the Parise part, but the Suter part...Why blow a chance at Big $ and winning to getting big $ and losing. |

whatever. let them both go to the wild. the only part that i find upsetting is that there are no appealing options to fall back on. |
