Talbot is a pretty good 4th line Center, No?
- jstross

Better as a winger. Get a faceoff specialist in there to win some draws.

I borrowed a pair of bootleg tapes from the Gabriel benefit concert from a guy at college. He found out I was going to ask this girl out and he beat me to the punch. I conveniently forgot to return the tapes to him. I think I got the better deal. She's probably a Devils or Rangers fan now.

i like king crimson, but i just don't get primus.
- hammarby31

They suck, duty I digress.

Much like with KC, you must ignore les claypools' lyrics and just focus on the playing.
Dig up primus live on MTV spring break, I think 1993

Didn't know that. I will check that out. I'm sure you have seen it, the Jimmy Page on some British show from the 50's is on Youtube. They were playing some dreadful music. Have you seen this?
- PLindbergh31

it's worth a look. his sister still seemed heartbroken. his dad appeared to be made of stone.

i have NOT seen the page clip. music in the 50s kind of sucked. not surprised.

Cage and "Turn It On Again" have the best/weirdest time signatures. Love them.
- Flyskippy

You just typed time signatures.
You are such a nerd.
Love you man.

You know, I know *who* he is but I don't know that I've ever heard anything he's done. My drummer friend mentioned him and may have even played some stuff by him, but it either didn't take to my brain or just wasn't frequent enough to remember.

That would be awesome.
What is peter doing now? I've drifted. Is he still really into the African stuff?

- nails

Good question. I have kind of been out of the loop with what he's doing. I'm not sure if he has any new stuff, I read somewhere he was playing in Philly and thinking I would like to see him. Have to think he would do lots of Genesis stuff.

I have to check that stuff out. The Genesis stuff with Peter Gabriel and Collins is right in my wheelhouse. Gabriel is playing in Sept in Philly, I'm thinking about getting tickets.
- PLindbergh31

he usually has good drummers- katche, cobham, Thompson ( I think)..,

amazing transition from drummer to frontman while still keeping most of his chops at the kit. blew out his hands pretty bad recently.
- isaiah520

Yeah, it's sad. His hearing started going - or so I'd heard - shortly after the 2007 Genesis tour.

U2 very good band. A lot of people don't realize they have been together over 30 years now.
- PLindbergh31

I just received U22 a couple of weeks ago (fan club package). It has been dueling Rush's latest for the CD/MP3 player's attention.

All right, I have to put my son to bed. I'll catch you guys later.

Happy 4th and Independence Day, everyone!

Nice. Someone told me Jason Bonham might be drumming with Gabriel. That would be interesting.

peter?
Highly doubt it. He has done sooo much since then and he was BIG into his African stuff.
I think at one point he was even working with afro-Celt sound system.

you have to listen to the mahavishnu orchestra. at least once. apocalypse and visions of the emerald beyond are my favorite albums. released in 74 and 75. coincidence? i think not. clearly they have to reunite and release an album in order for the flyers to win their next cup.
