Who has reported that?

When you are the team that offered the most amount of money... there is NO WAY you have an extremely small chance of acquiring the player.

The only people I have seen say something like that are the local Flyers reporters... and with all do respect, they know just as much as us sitting here at our computers when it comes to these players and where they are going to sign.

It is the national guys like Dreger who have the connections throughout the entire NHL that have the best understanding (if they even do). And none of those guys have said anything remotely close to "Flyers have an extremely small chance"

Yeah, I haven't read anywhere that the Flyers are out of it. I think they may have a shot, but it is frustrating waiting this long as a fan.. I'd like to hear that Suter accepted and start discusssing what number he'll wear..

Yes they do. Minnesota, deroit and pitt are all believed to have big offers out to both players. Possibly Nashville and chicago as well.

Almost every team linked to one of those players has been linked to both.

- Flyers2821

Big is not humongous. For humongous, I want min 8.5 mil to each for at least 9 years.

And how do you know that? How do you know the Flyers aren't out right now and they know they are out and are quietly working the phones on the trade. As you hypocritcally say all the people on here saying the Flyers are out, are wrong, you are doing the exact same thing saying they are in. BTW, Bobby Mac and Dreger haven't tied the Flyers to either player since July 1st, so who knows if they are in or out.
- Flyers1218

And just logistically speaking... why would either Suter or Parise even let it become known that the largest financial contract on the table doesn't have a shot? That would do nothing but hurt them.

As you saw today with the Red Wings dropping another $10 mill into their offer... money is clearly a major player in these decisions and when you are the top dog financially, you always have a shot.

Thank you the Flyers for the opportunity you gave me.Thanks to all fans and teammates for great support! I had so much fun! Will miss you.

Special thanks to my linemates Scotty and G.

To@28CGiroux:Keep working and soon you will be the best player in NHL like I said.

To@Hartsy19:work hard and you will score 40.

Just to everybody knows:Max Talbot is the most underrated and underpaid player in NHL.Holmgren did a great job signing him last season.

You want other teams trying to match that offer.

Sure there has been. When they report that the Flyers have the biggest offer, they have a chance. And I haven't seen any reliable source saying the Flyers have an extremely small chance. Most reports I've see said the Flyers are in the hunt.
- MJL

Nick Cotsonika who writes for Yahoo sports reported that Suter wants to be in a place with small media scrutiny and thus would say the Flyers chances are slim. Randy Miller had tweeted the other day that a Flyers player had told him that Suter told him he had no interest in playing in Philadelphia. Lots of reports about Parise are that he's deciding between PIT, NJD, and MIN and most insiders feel he's decided to play for Pittsburgh, but is having a hard time leaving the Devils. I haven't seen 1 person say I can see this guy going to Philadelphia or the Flyers are in the lead here. The highest notoriety they got was that they have put two 100MM contracts on the table for these guys and Dreger said July 1st the Flyers were still in both.... Not 1 thing has said about the team since.

However, like I said before, often times the team that is barely mentioned is the one that walks away with the player. I put the Flyers chances at below 10% for each player.

Being forced to be patient causing people to do things they wouldn't normally do. The longer this thing drags out the more these teams who are in the hunt are gonna keep pushing the envelope financially to get closer and closer to the Flyers offers.

Never heard of Nick Cotsonika. Randy Miller used to be a Baseball beat writer and doesn't have a clue. Nobody on here has said that the Flyers are the front runners. Only that they are in it and have a shot. There hasn't been a lot said about any team lately.

When I read the top sources such as Dreger or McKenzie say the Flyers are out of it. They they're out of it.

When was the last time it was reported the Flyers had the highest offer on the table? And who reported that the Flyers did have the highest offer? All I saw was that the Flyers had two 100MM+ contracts on the table for each guy, I didn't see they were highest. And I'm not being a jerk, would just like to see that link.

Randy Miller doesn't have a clue... you're right, but he's not capable of relaying when a Flyers player has told him that Suter said he didn't want to play in Philly? Come on MJL, I expect better from you.

You are so desperate for them to get these guys that it seems that logic is out the window with you.

And btw, I want them to get them, but I'm also realistic.

I am not desperate at all. I would like to have one of them sign but I am not desperate for either one to come here. Not even close actually.

Logic would tell you that when you offer the largest financial deal to a sports player, you have a shot at signing that player.

I have also been watching NHL network for for the past 3 days and following everything on twitter non stop and it has been said over and over and over again that the Flyers offered the largest contracts for these players.

Even if Suter doesn't want to play here. He still wants that offer to come from Philly. So I don't see Suter telling a Flyers player that.

It's funny because Dreger and Mckenzie haven't mentioned once the Flyers being in or out or even having the highest offer in days? I just scrolled back through their twitters. In fact last time Dreger spoke about Flyers and the FA's was on Monday night when he said, "Flyers submitted big bids on both Parise and Suter. For the moment Philly appears to be out on Nash. Things can change quickly."
