Can Hexy still play? Holmgren better dig up some 40 year old goalies if he is ever to beat the Devils.

I thought Bernie's performance in the winter classic was very impressive.

When the Stars offered Jagr that much cash, I wonder if he strained his groin running to sign it.

Seriously, Jagr good soldier and all, good teammate still has some game. Flyers wise moving on from him imo.

Have a feeling Jagr will quickly realize he misses playing with a guy like Giroux.

4.5M for Jagr is ridiculous! But good for him.

That's why they should be looking to upgrade the 3rd and 4th line. Flyers don't need superstars on offense at this point.
Absolutely, but with guys moving up, still need bodies to round out the 4 lines. It also compromises the depth.

Don't know who Jagr will play with. But they have a couple of very good young players in Eriksson and Benn.

I agree with you. Wasting time and energy pursuing Suter and Parise, they are signing elsewhere. Lots of solid players have been snapped up already. A player like Brad Boyes could have been a high reward zero risk pickup for a million bucks.

They're good/great players, but I'm not sure if they have the level of vision and creativity as a Giroux, and I think that sort of thing meshes well with Jagr. They had good chemistry because they probably see the game similarly or think alike.

I'll miss watching play here though, especially when he was 100% healthy. He still has game.

No, your right, they don't match up to Giroux. But I'm sure Jagr will be successful in Dallas.

Derek Roy will be feeding him like a baby.

I like #68 but that is just too much. I think we can put that money to better use. I wish him well.

Clearly the Suter situation is holding up any other possible d-men signing or being traded... is the Parise deal the same? Could the Flyers pull out of the running for Parise and trade for Bobby Ryan or is Aneheim sitting and waiting until after Parise gets traded?

In 2 years, Malkin and Roo will be UFAs, in their prime. Can you imagine. They will get 11 million dollars a year on ave, I bet.

I don't think Malkin stays in Pitt. Not going to settle for SC money, nor be #2.

There is no way Pitt just lets Malkin walk. They either trade him or keep him.

That is not really relevant as far as cap hit goes. They know they will get that much, and so will not sign for much less earlier.

Crosby is an exceptional situation, with his relationship with Lemieux and the way the team has been so patient with him, and with his concussions.

He's rubbing his hands right now awaiting his July 1 circus invite.
