What do you think of Prust's contract?
- gravyface

Overpayment. But that's July 1st for you.

At least he fills a need.

Having Ryan White, Travis Moen and Brandon Prust makes for a pretty unpleasant 4th line.

I couldn't care less for Armstrong. Always hated that guy and I don't plan on changing my mind anytime soon.

If he's healthy, it's gonna be like Hal Gill all over again.

I hope he's not going the way of Tucker... but it seems likely.

Armstrong? I wouldn't even mention him in the same breath as Tucker. Tucker was a warrior (and a pest), Armstrong was just a pest who lost his jam before even setting foot in a Leafs jersey and lost all his best tricks when the NHL started clamping down on charging, hitting from behind, and headshots.

Yes and not much. Although, to be fair, we're probably trying to package either him or another winger to get a better centre/goalie. So his availability kind of depends, if we trade other wingers then we might need him more. If we don't trade any wingers then I would say he can be had for relatively cheap.

yeah I would say that is a pretty good summary. Maybe costs a little more than it should but a good pick up for the Habs.

i think the habs have had a good off season in terms of draft and FA pick ups thus far.

Was away in Victoria over the long weekend and missed the free agency kick off. Glad to see Burke didn't rush out and overpay for some 3/4th line hacks!. Pretty much asures that Kadri and Frattin will be given a fair chance to make the team. Once the dust settles on Parise and Nash, Teams will start looking to trade, and I believe that Burke will aquire a top end Piece........

**And in totally unrealeated news** While playing Bear Mountain on the 17th hole, I nailed a shot from 172 y for Eagle. Shot of my life!

Yeah, strangely I feel that way too.

But maybe it's just unbridled enthusiasm caused by the new management team... We'll see.

The more I hear of Kormorov the more intrigued I am. And Biggs is betting big!!! 218 now!!

Definitely, he sounds like he could fill a role on the 4th or even 3rd line in a pinch. Kormorov I mean.

Glad to hear Biggs is bulking up but I doubt he makes the team this year. I haven't seen himp lay much, obviously, but some time in a lower league would be good for him IMO.

I like him, but he's not really all that valuable in the marketplace. At the high end we might get either a 2nd round pick and a mediocre prospect or a decent prospect and a 4th rounder. He's won't get you a first or a high end prospect and as far as roster players it would be a lateral move at best so it wouldn't be worth it for us.

Like I said, our main goal is to upgrade at centre and in net. Mac alone isn't going to do that, no one piece we have will so it will have to be a package deal. If Mac is in that package, cool, if he's not and we move some other wingers then we'll kind of need him.

Which one? Biggs? I like that he has size, he probably won't be Bobby Ryan 2.0 but, again, I'm not too familar with his game so I'm not sure who he is comparable to.

Komarov will hopefully be all that Armstrong wasn't (healthy, nasty, irritating).

The habs had a very good draft, addressed toughness in their lineup with whom they signed. Offense will still be a problem though, they may struggle quite a bit to score unless further additions are made which I think Bergevin is trying to do.
