The summer should be about unloading the rest of the dead weight and if it takes giving up a C level prospect just do it and get on with life.

I think we are going to see a few trades. Apparent;y Poulin was on 590 today and said some interesting things.

seriously though - my impression of the Poulin statement is fans would be surprised the Leafs players involved in the discussions... ie Kessel, Phaneuf, Grabo...

Really??? because Gustavsson had all the tools to become a great goalie if it wasn't for the personal issues he had

My impression of the Poulin statement is desperation from the Leafs brass in terms of trying to make it look to their fans like they are doing something, anything at all to make the team any better. I doubt they find many trade partners who want what the Leafs have on offer.

I heard that interview, didn't take it that way but hey that's cool.. the Leafs should be open to dealing anyone on the rooster.

A lot of teams would be interested in Kulemin, MacA, Kadri, Blacker, Gunnar, Phaneuf, Lupul and Grabo. Just depends on who is coming back. We all know that when Burke makes a trade its a damn good one.

from what I've seen of him, which I'll admit isn't a lot, talent isn't the issue. It's where his head is at and whether he's got the mental make-up (which, isn't exactly incredible insight for a goalie, I know...).

Was same with Gustavson. All kinds of raw talent but either couldn't focus or didn't have the confidence in himself.

I still say Scrivens is the best goalie Leafs have long term, at any level. Not everyone agrees, but that's what I've seen.

Agreed. it's pretty interesting to see how other teams fans undervalue our players when they clearly have potential to be good let alone great

Nah I moved out of the city in November. That got me jonesing for their wings the other day though.

I'd certainly be open to dealing Phaneuf...

Reimer is younger and I think he will be our starter for the future. Scrivens is the best goalie in the AHL no doubt. Carried the Marlies a lot. If he can translate that into the NHL we could see an excellent fight for the starter role which is what I want to see, not some UFA vet goalie coming in. I think Allaire should be fired IMO.

Its a shame Scrivens was a late bloomer I don't believe he'll get much better then where he is at now, but opinions are like bumholes everybody has one who gives a poop

Really don't want to see either Kulemin or Blacker traded. Kuli cause you're really selling low, and Blacker cause I think he's going to be very good, especially paired with O'Reilly eventually.

Or hell, Franson. Blacker-Franson on the #2 PP would be fun - bombs from both sides up top

Hoping he gets minimum 20 games with the Leafs this year to get his feet wet. He lost a lot of developement due to injuries last year, so might not be ready to steal a spot in camp.

Although, he's had 3 great camps so far. Hell he looked better than most Leafs D when he was 18.

meh, year and a half. Not a significant difference.

agree on Allaire. Something is clearly wrong with what is being taught.

Cody Franson has no interest in enduring another season like his first in Toronto http://bit.ly/LU4G6E

He was likely to be moved anyway

Don't worry man. I've adopted Blacker as my next go to guy next to Mckegg
