You know of a ton of guys with his work effort that cost $600K?

We have guys like Lombardi, Steckel, Army, etc... that were playing 3rd line minutes... Always felt Crabb was the best option for those.

Crabb was a great 4th liner. If tehre were injuries you know he can move up and play some extra even strength minutes.

I'm all for being realistic, but come one. that's jut being negative for the sake of it... Yeah obviously a guy coming into his 2nd year off an injury doesn't matter if he makes it to camp or not.

I think the Frattin signing was excellent value, the Leafs have a solid player in him, imo.

Whether he misses camp or not...doesn't matter....not a big loss or addition.

Nobody is worth their contract in the NHL but if a team has capspace is willing to spend and a need Who cares. 70.2 million divided by 23 roster spots is just over three million a roster slot. Its difficult to compare salaries to someone who signed two years ago when the cap was lower.

Now if the signing doesn't help your team; that's another story.
