Maybe Rolston will attend as a chaperone and shoot another puck off of DP's head.

They are $10 million under the cap so they possibly could aquire 3 players by trades or free agency at an average of $3.3... - kear20
The cap floor is imaginary right now as it's expected get lowered with the next CBA. Don't expect the Islanders to use it as the salary level they need to get to. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if they do nothing until they know what that number will be. That number will most likely be set some time in September if and when an agreement is reached.
There are rumors about the cap floor possible getting eliminated. God help us if that happens. Wang might only sign minimum wage players or dudes waiting to be picked up at 7-11 for a days pay on gameday.

I'm just trying to be realistic, and maybe get invited into the wolfpack in the process!
Just don't come crying to me if the same guy cutting your lawn every week right now, is flanking JT on the wing in October....could happen......

suck it up and resign P.A. for 3 years. Even if you over pay, a 3 year contract doesn;t handcuff you. Sign Jokinen for 1 year so Strome and Nelson can develop properly and sign a legitimate stay at home defensemen that doesn't suck. Just average who has played in the league for a bit. Bryan allen, Salvador. Someone like that.
If Garth does that, this team actually has a shot next season to get 90 points.

You are more than qualified to be part of the Wolfpack. I will say this I rather the guy cutting the lawn than Rolston. |

He was young then. He would be a nice upgrade over Neilson at 2. Neilson is a great/perfect 3. He needs to play there. The rumors on twitter have us connected to Jokinen actually so I think it's at least a possibility.
I'm not saying it HAS to be olli, but it's probably the most legit/realistic option for a number 2 center. Watching Strome get pushed around and struggle all year there isn't acceptable to me at this point. |

I can live with Olli for a year. I rather Strome does not get blocked for more than a year and Nelson as well. |

I think for one year it makes the team better short term and long term allows Nelson and Strome to develop. It also allows them to trade one of them if they actually want to actually get a great player. In 2 years JT,Strome,Neilson,Cizikas is pretty damn solid up the middle. But enough rushing these kids. |

Agreed...I'd switch Bailey with Grabner...Neilson and Grabner seem to play well together...love to see Prust or someone like him on the 4th line...how about Haley...I'd dump Reasoner, it seems Chicago has a hard on for him...PA probably goes to Montreal...maybe we are in on Ryan...we would probably have to include Strome in the package...don't think they want to do it but we do have Nelson who is slated as a #2 Center... |

Since you have JT and Neilsen signed up long term and Cizikas is a 4th line guy...a smart GM looks to trade either Strome or Nelson for that great player as someone mentioned above... |

I think Strome would be the one to be traded for that great player...he seems to have more value. Maybe for Ryan...and Nelson plays a major role in Bridgeport next season and then he moves up to the big club... |

Anders Lee as well...Might want to trade him seeing that he probably won't sign with us. |

There just is no hint or reason to believe the Isles trade any prospects to acquire that star player to play with or behind Tavares. |

I can live we trading Strome for Ryan since we have Nelson. It makes sense. Nelson should be able to play as 2nd center. I love his size. I really hope Lee gets signed. |
